Devem-se conhecer as características com relação aos graus de incapacidades, a limitação funcional, limitação de atividade, consciência de risco e restrição à participação social em pessoas acometidas pela hanseníase. Trata-se de um estudo transversal, objetivando comparar quantitativamente o grau de incapacidade em mãos, pés e olhos em pacientes com hanseníase e pós-alta, utilizando protocolo do Ministério da Saúde concomitante à utilização do instrumento SALSA e Escala de Participação. Foram avaliados 75 pacientes atendidos no Hospital Universitário de Brasília. O grupo de indivíduos com grau 1 de incapacidade foi o maior com 34 indivíduos obteve a máxima pontuação do escore SALSA com 77pontos. Pacientes com grau 0 apresentaram escore 9 de consciência de risco na escala SALSA. Em relação à escala de Participação pacientes com grau de incapacidade 1 apresentam restrições graves e extremas próximas aos pacientes que se encontravam com grau de incapacidade 2. Reafirma-se a importância dessas ferramentas para a atenção integral aos pacientes de hanseníase. ___________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / The leprosy treatment is not just limited by the patient bacillus cure, we should also consider the physical disabilities caused. It should be known the characteristics regarding the degrees of incapacities, the functional limitation, of activity, risk conscience and restriction to the social participation in people attacked by leprosy. This is a cross-sectional study aimed to compare the degrees of disability in hands, feet and eyes in leprosy patients, using the Ministry of Health protocol concomitant use of the instrument and SALSA Participation Scale. We evaluated 75 patients seen at the Hospital Universitário of Brasília. The individuals' group with degree 1 of incapacity was the largestwith 34 individuals where it was obtained the maxim punctuation of the score Salsa with 77points. Patient with degree 0 presented score 9 of risk conscience in Salsa scale. In relation to the Participation patients' scale with degree of incapacity 1 present serious and extreme restriction close to the patients that are with degree of incapacity 2. The importance of those tools is reaffirmed for the integral attention to the leprosy patients.
