This diploma thesis deals with the topic of "Recommended reading in the Czech language at primary school", it tries to summarize the position of the recommended reading nowadays. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on characteristics and definition of the essential notions of this problematic, such as the reader, children´s reading, reading literacy and extra reading-book and recommended reading. The research is focused on primary teachers and it is based on the survey. The survey aim is to find out the position of recommended reading at primary school, whether it is assigned and how do the teachers organize that.

Assim, com os personagens leitores Bastian, Motimer, Meggie, Darius de A História sem fim e de Coração de Tinta, respectivamente, podemos analisar e indagar as diferentes interações do leitor com o texto literário. / The following dissertation is a dialog with the studies and researches which care about the constructions of the relation author-work-reader, essentially guided through the researches from Wolfgang Iser and Umberto Eco about the reading and the reader. It is thus our main objectiv is to analyse the whole process of construction of the text, the reader and how the reading develops itself, such in the text itself as well in the reader itself. Therefore with the readercharacters Bastian, Motimer Meggie, Darius from The Neverending Story and Inkheart respectively, we can analyse and enquire the distinct interactions of the reader with the literary text.

Informační výchova začínajících čtenářů v Městské knihovně v Praze - v knihovnách Smíchov a Barrandov / Starting Reader and Information Literacy in the Municipal Library of Prague - library Smíchov and Barrandov

(in English): Work Starting Reader and Information Literacy in the Municipal Library of Prague - library Smíchov and Barrandov aims to describe and compare the work with starting readers and conduct information education starting readers in accordance with the framework educational programs in the older central city of Prague 5-Smíchov and newer housing estate on the outskirts of Prague 5 in Barrandov. Comparator library Smíchov and Barrandov among the branches of the Municipal Library in Prague. From a comparison of these libraries work is based on methodical instructions for working with starting readers, which rely on the conclusions from interviews conducted by teachers and educators catchment primary schools and kindergartens, as well as with parents beginning readers.
