Methodologically, we chose to do semistructured interviews with professionals from the Social Service who works at public and private institutions in that city and chain. Either we try to study the validity of the chain work proposal as one of the instruments of social workers intervention face to the sexual violence situations and publish RAVIS experience in this field. We organized the paper in four chapters. The first one sorts the concept of violence and sexual violence out. The second deals with the aspects of the social service history and the violence presence in this process. On the third chapter we did a Diadema municipality record. We conceptualized the chain work and we presented RAVIS record, and finally, we presented the research methodology way, besides, we showed the analysis of the done interviews with which we could realize the chain work has qualified the social worker professional deed and that has exerted an articulator and organizer function to the deeds from several professional areas and groups who works with fighting against the sexual violence in Diadema. The chain work seems us essential for the confrontation of that violence expression that is extremely dense and multifaceted, what doesn t eliminate the necessity of expansion and qualification from the actions that being carried out by RAVIS and for whom the social service has great contribution to be made / A presente dissertação tem como objetivo refletir sobre a ação profissional do/a Assistente Social frente às situações de violência sexual e como objeto a Rede de Atenção à Violência Sexual (RAVIS) do Município de Diadema. Metodologicamente optamos pela realização de entrevistas semi-estruturadas com profissionais do Serviço Social que trabalham em instituições públicas e privadas da cidade e fazem parte da rede. Também buscamos estudar a validade da proposta de trabalho em rede como um dos instrumentos de intervenção dos (as) Assistentes Sociais frente às situações de violência sexual e divulgar a experiência da RAVIS neste campo. Organizamos a dissertação em quatro capítulos, o primeiro trata da conceituação da violência e da violência sexual; o segundo aborda aspectos da história do Serviço Social e da presença da violência neste processo; no terceiro capitulo fizemos um histórico do Município de Diadema, conceituamos o trabalho em rede e apresentamos o histórico da RAVIS; e, por último, além de apresentarmos o percurso metodológico da pesquisa, procedemos a análise das entrevistas realizadas, com as quais percebemos que o trabalho em rede tem qualificado a ação profissional dos (as) Assistentes Sociais e exercido um papel articulador e organizador das ações de diversas áreas e categorias profissionais que atuam no enfrentamento da violência sexual em Diadema. O trabalho da rede nos parece essencial para o enfrentamento dessa expressão da violência que é extremamente densa e multifacetada, o que não elimina a necessidade de ampliação e qualificação das ações que vêm sendo realizadas pela RAVIS e para as quais o Serviço Social tem grandes contribuições a fazer
