Kulturně-společenské centrum Brno-přehrada /téma "Brno-město uprostřed Evropy"/ / Culture and public centre Brno-damlake/Theme"Brno-city in the midle of the Europe"/

Vrágová, Pavla January 2013 (has links)
Cultural and Public Center is located on the dam in Brno dock, addressing the promenade between the marina and Kozí Horka, starting points and bicycle path , and include marine terminal and a natural amphitheater with a restaurant. Promenade is the multilevel net of wheelchair interconnected trails and green spaces with objects of public amenities covered by reinforced concrete shell structure with walkable green roof and with color features as landmarks. The building of the cultural center is fitted in the field wave that rises and opens towards the audience. The back part of the building is composed by field wall with employees' inputs, which forms a barrier between the amphitheater and the bike path behind the building. The object reacts to different heights of promenade's trails by Raumplan arrangement. It is divided into performers' background with store of properties, public toilets and restaurant facilities. The supporting structure is a monolithic reinforced concrete wall system in module 4 m, which carry exposed reinforced concrete shell structure with walkable green roof. The main walls are rotated by 5 °. Overall height ranges from 2700 mm to 4750 mm and headroom ranges from 2300 mm to 3800 mm according to the curved shell structure. Nationwide building foundation by the base plate with circumferential bands into the frost resistant depth is affected by bottom water pressure.

Železobetonová konstrukce chladící věže / Reinforced concrete construction of cooling tower

Zralý, Tomáš January 2015 (has links)
There was solved reinforced concrete cooling tower in the diploma thesis. This is a rotationally symmetrical construction. The cooling tower is concrete shell on columns. The cooling tower was solved using the finite element method, computer program Midas FEA. The work includes: calculation using the program Midas FEA, comparison of load between eurocode and foreign literature, the design of shell and columns, drawings form

Use of pervading internal shell-type substructures to dissolve compact components

Vakaliuk, Iurii 10 November 2022 (has links)
Nature brings lot of possibilities and inspirational ideas in various industries. Many fields of human activity from transportation, energy and electronics derives inspiration from natural structures and systems to be more efficient. The civil engineering and industry of building materials is not an exception. The ongoing joint research project CRC/TRR 280 [1] aimed on looking for a new methodology and approaches in design of light weight and bio inspired structures made of textile reinforced concrete (TRC). Special interest is on shell structures with membrane stresses that brings an extremely favourable span-to-material ratio that in turn means excellent structural performance. The current paper aimed to show the numerical side of the current research project.

Comportement mécanique sous sollicitations alternées de voiles béton armé renforcés par matériaux composites / Mechanical behavior of RC walls under seismic activity strenghtened with CFRP

Qazi, Samiullah 17 January 2013 (has links)
Recent earthquake surveys have revealed the significance of RC walls as an integral part of structures. It reduces the structure damage to some extent. However, like other structural member they too are vulnerable. Researchers on basis of their post eartthquake survey and laboratary experiments have concluded that the RC wall buildings sustained damage, mainly due to design and construction work flaws. In this thesis experimental result of shear walls is discussed. They were designed under-reinforced to fail in shear in ase of short wall and in flexure for slender walls. Three out of these six specimens, in each case, were strengthened externally with CFRP strips bonded to wall panel and mesh anchors installed at wall foundation joint. Two specimens, one RC and one CFRP retrofitted (short and slender wall each), were subjected to static load test and three specimens, one RC and two to three CFRP retrofitted, were subjected to quasi static cyclic load tests. The test result analysis discussion includes failure mode, stiffness, ultimate load capacity, ductility, and energy dissipation.

Návrh předpjaté nádrže / Design of reinforced tank

Štramberský, Martin January 2014 (has links)
The matter of this diploma thesis is a static storage tank for petroleum substances, the study of a solution for appropriate shape of shell and its effort to dihedral for roofing, and the study of effect of the storage of inner roofs walls of the tank to the size of the internal forces. The internal walls are carried out by the method of finite elements in the engineering program Scia Engineering 2013 and on the basis of it, designing of the framing sections of the tank. There is a calculation part of the lower horizontal bias wreaths of the shell and internal supporting wall. All the components are assessed on the 1st limit state of the load-bearing capacity and the 2nd limit state of the application (emergence cracks, limiting voltage in the concrete and a prestressing steel). The existing external wall is assessed only on the marginal status load of carrying capacity. The part of diploma thesis is also drawing documentation, accompanying report and technical report. The goal of the diploma thesis was to design the tank without an occurrence of the cracks in the concrete so as the vertical wall was prestressing only in the horizontal direction and the optimal proposal roof tanks as an addition.
