A partir dessa diferenciação e tendo por objeto as três maiores revistas semanais de informação do país – Época, IstoÉ e Veja -, a pesquisa avalia a produção jornalística nos anos de eleições presidenciais entre 1989 e 2002, O estudo concluiu que houve no período um aumento no volume de reportagens sobre investigações – o que não ocorreu com as reportagens investigativas - e que grande parte desse acréscimo se deve às relações entre a imprensa e o Ministério Público. Dessa forma, o levantamento mostra que a agenda da imprensa se tornou dependente da agenda do Ministério Público e que o jornalismo sobre investigações passou a superar, em muito, o jornalismo investigativo. _________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This research offers a typology that differentiates investigative journalism – the result of investigation made by the journalist himself - from what, in this research, we named journalism about investigations - which disseminates information about investigations made by authorities. From this differentiation - and focusing on Brazil's three main information magazines: Época, IstoÉ and Veja -, the paper evaluates journalistic production in the presidential election years between 1989 and 2002. The study concluded that there was, in that period, a significant raise in the number of reports about investigations (although the same did not occur as to investigative reports) - and that a large part of this increase results from the relationship between the press and the Public Prosecution Service. As such, numbers reveal that the press' agenda had become dependant on the Public Prosecution Service's agenda, and that journalism about investigations surpassed, in no uncertain terms, investigative journalism.

Esta pesquisa busca analisar, na história dos meios de comunicação, os indícios que aproximam os quadrinhos do jornalismo, e fazer um estudo sobre os fundamentos da reportagem e identificar, nos livros-reportagens de Joe Sacco, como ele os aplicou. Por último, nossos esforços visam investigar a construção da reportagem dentro da estrutura narrativa dos quadrinhos, destacando as técnicas e temas que formam seu conjunto. Para responder à questão de pesquisa, são utilizados como corpus os três livros-reportagens em quadrinhos sobre a Guerra da Bósnia (1992 – 1995) produzidos pelo jornalista maltês Joe Sacco. As obras foram lançadas entre 2000 e 2005 e, reunidas, preenchem 397 páginas que resgatam diversos episódios da guerra, principalmente sob a ótica da população civil das cidades de Gorazde e de Sarajevo. A pesquisa está amparada em procedimentos de análise da narrativa e hermenêutica sugeridos, respectivamente, pelos autores Luiz Gonzaga Motta e John B. Thompson. Entendemos que a sistematização de uma reportagem na narrativa em quadrinhos foi uma das maiores contribuições de Joe Sacco para o jornalismo. O autor é beneficiado pela bagagem histórica e faz uso dos princípios da reportagem e da construção da narrativa em HQ para presentear o jornalismo com um novo campo de possibilidades para a prática da profissão. / This dissertation arises from the question 'How does comics narrative contributes to journalism?' We aim to investigate the contributions, innovations, advantages and disadvantages of using comics in journalism. This research seeks to analyze, in the history of the media, the signs that approach the comics and the journalism, and to make a study of the fundamentals of the News report and to identify how Joe Sacco applied them in his books. Finally, our efforts are aimed at investigating the construction of the story within the narrative structure of the comics, highlighting the techniques and themes that make up the whole. To answer the research question, we used as corpus the three books about the Bosnian War (1992-1995) produced by the Maltese journalist Joe Sacco. The works were released between 2000 and 2005 and, together, complete 397 pages that rescue several episodes of the war, mainly from the perspective of the civil population of the cities of Gorazde and Sarajevo. The research is supported by procedures of analysis of the narrative and hermeneutics suggested, respectively, by the authors Luiz Gonzaga Motta and John B. Thompson. We understand that the systematization of a story in the comic strip was one of Joe Sacco's greatest contributions to journalism. The author benefits from historical baggage and makes use of the principles of News reporting and the construction of the narrative in HQ to present journalism with a new field of possibilities for practicing the profession.
