As avaliações das plantas da lavoura quanto à atrofia dos ramos do cafeeiro (ARC) constaram da determinação de incidência e da severidade da doença, do crescimento dos ramos e da produção de grãos. No estudo da distribuição espacial, foram feitas análises de ordinary runs nas linhas e nas entrelinhas, da dinâmica e estrutura de focos, análise utilizando a lei de Taylor modificada e determinação de áreas isópatas. No estudo da distribuição temporal da doença, avaliou-se a incidência real e cumulativa de ARC e calculou-se a taxa de progresso da doença. Com base nas análises de ordinary runs e dinâmica e estrutura de focos, observou-se agregação das plantas doentes, mostrando que a disseminação da doença ocorreu preferencialmente nas linhas de plantio. Por meio da análise da lei de Taylor modificada, observou-se forte agregação de plantas doentes. Pela a análise de dinâmica e estrutura de focos, verificou-se que as plantas doentes apresentaram-se, inicialmente, como focos isolados e, posteriormente, com o aumento da incidência, ocorreu a coalescência delas. Os ramos sem sintomas apresentaram maior crescimento do que os com sintomas. Obteve-se relação negativa entre os valores de produção e tamanho dos grãos com a severidade da ARC. A máxima incidência de ARC ocorreu no mês de dezembro, quando a taxa de progresso da doença foi de 0,18 planta/mês, enquanto no período de inverno a incidência foi muito baixa, com taxa próxima a zero. / Field experiments were conducted at commercial coffee (Coffea arabica) areas at ‘São Gotardo” and ‘Ervália” counties at ‘Minas Gerais’ state. The assessments were done by determining the incidence, severity of Coffee Leaf Scorch (CLS), shoot growth and grain yield. On the spatial distribution study, analysis of ordinary runs, on the lines and among them, dynamic and structure of foci as well as the analysis using modified Taylor’s law were done. On temporal distribution of CLS study, the real and cumulative incidence of CLS was done and the data was used to calculate the rate of the disease progress. Based on the analysis of ordinary runs and dynamic and structure of foci, aggregation of diseased plants was observed showing that its dissemination occurred mainly on planting lines. By using the modified Taylor’s law, diseased plants were aggregated within the area containing the coffee plants. Based on the analysis of the dynamic and structure of foci, it was seem that diseased plants showed, at the beginning, isolated foci and later on, with an increase on disease incidence, they became more aggregated. Shoot with disease symptoms had greater growth compared to shoot without symptoms. There was a negative relationship between the yield and values grain size with the CLS severity. The maximum values for CLS incidence occurred on december when the rate of disease progress was 0.18 plant/month. However, on the winter time, disease incidence was lower with rate of progress close to zero. / Dissertação importada do Alexandria
