Conduta diagnóstica e terapêutica frente aos tumores odontogênicos ceratocísticos na Síndrome de Gorlin-Goltz

The objective of this study went realize a descriptive and comparative approach of patients with Gorlin-Goltz Syndrome those were early diagnosis versus those with late diagnosis. This comparative assessment tries getting greater emphasis on early diagnosis and surgical treatment of Keratocystic Odontogenic Tumor. Since the first lesions appear in the oral cavity, the bucomaxilofacial surgeon have the responsibility of the early diagnosis and referral to other specialties. The multiple congenital anomalies that patients have and the many difficulties which patients with the syndrome suffer forward to the need of multidisciplinary treatment in various public institutions of health to obtain the definitive diagnosis of the syndrome were studied. / Esta pesquisa foi desenvolvida dentro do paradigma qualitativo construtivista, por meio da descrição de casos de pacientes com Síndrome de Gorlin-Goltz já tratados e em acompanhamento no programa de pós-graduação em Cirurgia e Traumatologia Bucomaxilofacial da FO-PUCRS. Este estudo teve por objetivo realizar uma abordagem descritiva e comparativa de pacientes com Síndrome de Gorlin-Goltz que foram diagnosticados precocemente daqueles com diagnóstico tardio. Nesta avaliação comparativa procurou-se dar maior ênfase ao diagnóstico precoce e tratamento cirúrgico dos Tumores Odontogênicos Ceratocístico, por serem, segundo a literatura, as primeiras lesões a surgirem nos pacientes portadores da síndrome. Haja vista que as primeiras lesões surgem na cavidade bucal, cabem ao cirurgião bucofacial a responsabilidade do diagnóstico precoce e encaminhamento a outras especialidades. Também procurou-se abordar as múltiplas anomalias congênitas que os pacientes apresentam e as inúmeras dificuldades com que os pacientes com a síndrome padecem frente à necessidade do tratamento multidisciplinar nas varias instituições públicas de saúde até obterem o diagnóstico definitivo da síndrome.
