La presente tesis tiene como objetivo identificar la información que los adolescentes del distrito de Ventanilla requieren y/o necesitan para la prevención de embarazos no planificados, así como los materiales que se encuentran disponibles para ellos y a través de qué mecanismos les interesa conocerlos. Para ello se determinó que el tipo de investigación es cualitativa y por lo tanto exploratoria, para determinar la disponibilidad de información existente para los adolescentes a través de un estudio de caso. Por lo tanto, se establecieron cuatro técnicas de investigación que permitieron identificar esta información, tales como entrevistas y focus groups a los adolescentes, así como al personal de salud que les proporciona el material informativo. Asimismo, se efectuaron entrevistas a las autoridades del sector quienes son los que norman y regulan estas actividades y se realizó la técnica de observación de los materiales que se encuentran en los establecimientos de salud y se entregan en las campañas informativas. La importancia de esta investigación radica en lograr identificar y analizar la información que reciben y necesitan los adolescentes, en temas de salud sexual y reproductiva, a fin de proponer estrategias que les permitan contar con los recursos necesarios para adoptar decisiones informadas en cuanto al inicio de su vida sexual, tomando en cuenta el Plan Multisectorial para la Prevención de Embarazos no Planificados 2010 – 2013, elaborado por el Ministerio de Salud. Este estudio determinó que los adolescentes del sector Pachacútec en el distrito de Ventanilla no cuentan con la información necesaria para adoptar comportamientos informados que los ayuden a prevenir embarazos no planificados. Por ello, se brindan propuestas a los responsables de salud sexual y reproductiva, así como de la Etapa Vida Adolescentes del Ministerio de Salud (ente rector) y a los encargados de los servicios que proporcionan orientación y consejería a los adolescentes en dicha localidad, para que cumplan su misión de informar adecuadamente pensando en las necesidades de este importante grupo poblacional. / The objective of this thesis is to identify the information that the adolescents of the Ventanilla district require and / or need for the prevention of unplanned pregnancies, as well as the materials that are available to them and through which mechanisms they are interested in knowing them. For this, it was determined that the type of research is qualitative and therefore exploratory, to determine the availability of existing information for adolescents through a case study. Therefore, four research techniques were established to identify this information, such as interviews and focus groups for adolescents, as well as health personnel who provide them with information material. In addition, interviews were held with the authorities of the sector who regulate and regulate these activities and the technique of observing the materials found in the health facilities was carried out and delivered to the information campaigns. The importance of this research is to identify and analyze the information that adolescents receive and need, in terms of sexual and reproductive health, in order to propose strategies that allow them to have the necessary resources to make informed decisions regarding the start of her sexual life, taking into account the Multisectoral Plan for the Prevention of Unplanned Pregnancies 2010 - 2013, prepared by the Ministry of Health. This study determined that adolescents in the Pachacútec sector in the Ventanilla district do not have the necessary information to adopt informed behaviors that help them prevent unplanned pregnancies. Therefore, this document offers proposals to those responsible for sexual and reproductive health, as well as the Adolescents Life Stage of the Ministry of Health, and those in charge of the services that provide guidance and counseling to adolescents in said locality, so that they fulfill their mission to inform adequately thinking about the needs of this important population group.
