Inovativní přístupy ve výuce na 1. stupni základní školy / Inovative approaches in education at primary school

My diploma thesis is focused to innovative approaches in primary schools, and specifically the methods of critical thinking. It describes the theoretical basis of methods of critical thinking, dealing with three-phase model of learning and program Reading and Writing for Critical Thinking. This thesis treats individual critical thinking methods used in conventional lessons non- specialist primary schools. The empirical part of the action research was conducted in the Lauder school in Prague, where the author works as the class teacher. Investigations Research investig of pupils author explores how specific methods is using in the classroom perceive subjectively by pupils. Form of a questionnaire aimed at teachers find out how often teachers use these methods into their lessons, and if the methods of critical thinking are actually effective. The data obtained from the empirical investigation are presented in written and graphical form and are interpreted with regard to the theoretical background of this thesis.

Precis: The thesis, research was at nursery school. Dealt with identifying whether they are respected musical development specific of preschool children. The research method used was a questionnaire survey, direkt observation, as well as an interview method of analysis and class documents. The research focused on levels of some factors that that affect compliance with specific set of development and implementation of the resulting needs. In particular, the level of professional competence and teacher influence speciffic knowledge of musical development of preschool age in their respect. Furthermore, as the criteria were examined and the classroom teacher created the conditions that enable compliance with specific musical development of preschool children.

Úroveň výuky plaveckých škol ve Středočeském kraji / The level of teaching swimming schools in the Central Bohemian Region

The aim of the this thesis is to map the compulsory lessons of children of younger school age in the Central Bohemian Region. It also focuses on the question of teaching the first method of swimming in individual swimming schools, on the teaching methods used, and as well on the education and length of practice of their teachers in these schools in the choosen region. The theoretical part of the thesis introduces the history of swimming lessons, the legislation of swimming schools, the importance of swimming, the swimming methods taught in basic compulsory swimming lessons and the characteristics of children of younger school age. In the practical part, we should compare the level of individual swimming schools in the region in compulsory swimming lessons, as well as the components that can affect this lessons. At the same time, we should map the teaching of individual swimming methods and teaching methods in these swimming schools in the Central Bohemian Region. Didaktická hra v současné výuce / Didactic game in contemporary pedagogy

The thesis discusses didactic game applied in kindergartens and primary schools in the context of current educational system. The author's objective was to determine differences between employing didactic play in kindergartens and primary schools. Another objective was to verify whether teachers recognise didactic game as an adequate educational method and to ascertain whether didactic game fulfils its activation function in primary schools. Observation and interviewing were used as appropriate methods to conduct the research and collect the data. More specifically the author conducted observations in the pre-school kindergarten classes and the first three grades of primary schools, interviews with kindergarten and primary school teachers, and comparisons between classes where didactic game was used and where it was not. The following conclusions were made: the main difference in applying didactic game in a kindergarten and primary school is the teacher's approach to the assignment of the didactic game and subsequently the children's or pupils' perception. Kindergarten teachers consider didactic game to be a fundamental educational method, whereas in primary schools it is of similar importance as other methods. Strategies to address auditory perceptual deficits in a school of skills in the northern suburbs of Cape Town

The aim of this action research was to investigate how auditory perceptual deficits affect reading in learners with disabilities. The sub-questions were: What auditory perceptual deficits learners’ experience? How do educators assist learners with auditory perceptual deficits? What instructional strategies and classroom management can educators apply to assist learners with auditory perceptual skills? The data collections comprised of an informal oral assessment, observation and anecdotal notes with fifteen participants with barriers to learning, from the English first year class, within a special needs educational setting. Data analysis and validity were supported by triangulation through informal assessment, observation, my critical friend and my own critical reflection. The support of phonologic, memory, and cohesion skills, auditory skills were the reading educational construct and strategies used as intervention in order to identify the efficacy of said interventions. Both bottom-up and top-down support strategies were used in relation to the participants’ individualised educational needs.
