El presente estudio explora la percepción de los trabajadores acerca de la cultura organizacional
en una compañía del sector financiero y asegurador, así como la influencia de la variable edad
entorno a la misma. La importancia de abordar este constructo radica en su carácter constitutivo
y esencial dentro de la organización así como en su impacto sobre resultados tales como niveles
de ausentismo y rotación, rentabilidad, crecimiento en ventas y productividad laboral (Bagher,
Golmohammadi, Nekooeezadeh & Mansouri, 2017; Burke, Koyuncu & Fiksenbaum, 2011;
Denison, Haaland & Goelzer, 2003; Kutty, 2016). Para la medición de este constructo, se utilizó
el Instrumento de Evaluación de Cultura Organizacional (OCAI), planteado por Cameron y
Quinn (2006), en una muestra de 172 trabajadores de una compañía aseguradora de Lima
Metropolitana. Los resultados muestran a las culturas tipo Clan y Mercado como predominantes
en la organización. Asimismo, evidencian una correlación directa y significativa entre edad y la
Cultura de Clan (rs =.218, p=.004) y una correlación inversa y significativa entre edad y Cultura
de Mercado (rs = -.180, p=.018). Estos últimos resultados son congruente con lo encontrado en
diferentes investigaciones. / This study explores the workers’ perception about organizational culture of a company in
the financial and insurance sector, as well as the influence of the age variable in it. The
importance of this approach is the constitutive and essential character of this construct as
well as its impact on the results such as the levels of absenteeism and turnover, profitability,
sales’ growth and, productivity (Bagher, Golmohammadi, Nekooeezadeh & Mansouri, 2017;
Burke, Koyuncu & Fiksenbaum, 2011; Denison, Haaland & Goelzer, 2003; Kutty, 2016).
The Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument (OCAI), which proposed by Cameron
and Quinn (2006), had been used to measure this construct, that involved 172 samples of
worker from an insurance company in Lima Metropolitan Area. The results show that the
Clan and Market Cultures are the predominants cultural types in the organization. In
addition, these results show a direct and significant correlation between age and Clan Culture
(rs = .218, p = .004) and, an inverse and significant correlation between age and Market
Culture (rs = -.180, p =. 018). Those correlations are consistent with the results that has found

Calidad en las empresas del sector seguros en Lima Metropolitana - 2014Jara Palacios, Marino Humberto, Larriega Hernández, Pedro Andrés, Nieto Luque, Diana Carolina, Quispe Pariona, María Victoria 10 September 2019 (has links)
La presente investigación tiene como propósito identificar el nivel de cumplimiento percibido
de los factores de la administración de la calidad total (TQM por sus siglas en inglés) en las
empresas del sector seguros de Lima Metropolitana en el periodo de Junio a Octubre del
2014. El diseño de la investigación se realizó bajo un enfoque cuantitativo, de alcance
descriptivo, no experimental y transeccional. El instrumento es un cuestionario elaborado a
partir del modelo de calidad de los nueve factores del TQM desarrollado por Benzaquen
(2013). La muestra del estudio incorporó a 67 empresas del sector y se obtuvo una media de
3.559 el cual nos indica que las empresas del sector seguros tienden a cumplir con los
factores del TQM. Se destaca el factor de la Alta Gerencia con el mayor nivel de tendencia
en el cumplimiento de los factores del TQM y los factores de Círculos de Calidad y Diseño
del Producto resaltan por no estar orientadas al cumplimiento. Debido a que este estudio es
el primero de su tipo respecto a la calidad en el sector seguros cobra importancia para tomarlo
como referencia para futuros trabajos de investigación y para el sustento de la
implementación de mejoras para la calidad en el sector. / This research aims to identify the perceived level of compliance in the factors of total quality
management (TQM) in the insurance sector companies of Lima in the period from June to
October 2014. The research design was conducted under a transectional, non-experimental
and quantitative approach with a descriptive scope. The instrument was a questionnaire based
in the nine factors of TQM quality model developed by Benzaquen (2013). The study sample
up to 67 companies in the sector and a 3.559 average value, which indicates that companies
in the insurance sector tend to meet TQM factors was obtained. The senior management
factor with the highest level of trend in fulfilling TQM factors. The factors of Quality Circles
and Product Design highlight for not being aimed at fulfilling stands. Because this study is
the first of its kind regarding the quality in the insurance sector becomes important to take it
as a reference for future research and for sustaining the implementation of quality
improvement in the sector.
