Sergipe DeI Rey vivenciara-Ihe de várias formas, reproduzindo o cenário da colônia nos seus diversos contextos, desde o clima de desordem que fundava e sustentava a colônia, passando por transformações administrativas. Isto no sentido de amenizar os conflitos sociais que transbordavam no período e que culminava, dentre outras coisas, na resistência negra à escravidão, com todas as possibilidades de se realizar uma grande revolução escrava no Brasil e de se implantar um governo próprio e controlado pelos escravizados. Sergipe não ficaria nem ao menos de fora da guerra que se travou entre o exército colonial português e o exército libertador, e das conseqüências que essa disputa inseria no futuro político da insipiente nação que se instituía, e na nova província que se desgarrava da Bahia / Abstract: The ancient colonial system spread out alI over the Occidental W orld in many ways, in different contexts and taking the characteristics of each one of those societies. Sergipe DeI Rey experienced this in many ways, reproducing the scenery of the colony in its different contexts, from the disorder environrnent which founded and sustained the colony, passing by administrative changes in order to soften the social conflicts which overflew that moment and culminated, among other things, in the black resistance against the slavery system, with great possibilities of making a big slave revolution in Brazil and installing a govemment of their own and ruled by the (ex) slaves. Sergipe wouldn't even be apart of that war between the Portuguese colonial army and the liberation forces nor even would be free from the consequences which that dispute would insert for the political future of the newbom nation and the new province that released itself from Bahia / Mestrado / Mestre em História Econômica

Extensional stresses caused Africa and South America to break up about 130 Million Years. When Africa rifted away from South America, a large onshore triple junction began at about 13° S and propagated northward. This triple junction failed and created the Reconcavo-Tucano-Jupato rift (R-T-J), located in northeastern Brazil (north of Salvador). The extensional stress that created this rift was caused by a change in the force acting on the plate during the Aptian. A series of offshore rifts also opened at this time, adjacent to the R-T-J rift; this series of basins are referred to as Jacuipe, Sergipe, and Alagoas (J-S-A). The basins are separated by bathymetric highs to the north and the south of the Sergipe-Alagoas basin. The Sergipe-Alagoas basin has a Bouguer gravity anomalies more negative than -35 mGal, and the other two basins have values more negative than -100 mGal; the total magnetic intensity is also about 60-80 nT higher in the Sergipe-Alagoas basin than the surrounding basins. The gravity and magnetic values in the Sergipe-Alagoas basin, when compared to the Jacuipe and the Sergipe-Alagoas basins, indicate that the depositional history and/or the formation of the Sergipe-Alagoas basin is different from the other two basins. This study was done by analyzing the gravity and magnetic anolamies in the region, and comparing these anomalies to the stratigraphy of the basin. This research has allowed the stratigraphy and structures of the Sergipe-Alagoas basin to be better understood - the location of the Sergipe fracture zone will also be outlined. This study provides a comprehensive view of the Sergipe-Alagoas basin and outlines a method for using Gravity and Magnetics to better understand the stratigraphy and structure of the Sergipe-Alagoas basin.

Recupera seu processo de formação histórica, passando pela articulação comercial e integração produtiva para, em seguida, verificar a importância que o setor industrial vai assumindo na dinâmica produtiva sergipana, bem como o papel desempenhado pelo Estado Nacional na formação desta ¿nova indústria¿. Faz-se a análise dos impactos da crise dos anos 1980 para a economia sergipana e da implantação do Programa Sergipano de Desenvolvimento Industrial, que visava recuperar o nível de atividade da indústria, que vinha perdendo participação em favor do crescimento do setor de serviços. Por fim, faz-se uma breve análise do crescimento das atividades urbanas, decorrentes desse dinamismo industrial / Abstract: This work investigates the transformations of the sergipana economy, through the processed changes in the industrial sector, since the decade of 1970 until year 2005. It recoups its process of historical formation, passing for the commercial joint and productive integration for, after that, verifying the importance that the industrial sector goes assuming in the sergipana productive dynamics, as well as the role played for the National State in the formation of this "new industry". It becomes analysis of the impacts of the crisis of years 1980 for the sergipana economy and of the implantation of the Sergipano Program of Industrial Development, that it aimed at to recoup the level of activity of the industry, that came losing participation in favor of the growth of the sector of services.
