Orientador: Maria Aparecida Anselmo Tarsitano / Banca: Antonio Lázaro Sant'Ana / Banca: Sílvio César Pantano / Resumo: A expansão da heveicultura na Regional de Jales e a relevância da organização social dos pequenos produtores em associações motivaram este trabalho que objetivou caracterizar a Associação dos Produtores de Borracha Natural (APROBON), e seus associados, analisando questões tecnológicas e sócio-econômicas, na região do Escritório de Desenvolvimento Rural (EDR) de Jales (SP). Os dados foram obtidos com técnicos que trabalham com a cultura, com o presidente da Associação e através da aplicação de questionários aos associados. Após a criação da APROBON, os produtores afirmaram que houve fortalecimento da cadeia produtiva da borracha natural, favorecendo os produtores familiares, parceiros e meeiros, devido à valorização do produto e a melhor remuneração obtida com este. A capacitação e conscientização dos heveicultores sobre a importância da seringueira veio a somar com a comercialização da produção em conjunto, através da união dos produtores, alcançando melhores preços pelo kg de coágulo (DRC-53%). Os resultados econômicos mostram que a cultura é rentável na região, com pay back de nove anos para a recuperação do investimento na implantação e manutenção do seringal e uma taxa interna de retorno de 21,8%, muito maior que a taxa de desconto do projeto, apresentando-se como uma opção viável ao produtor interessado em diversificar suas atividades. / Abstract: Considering the expansion of the Natural Rubber in Regional of Jales and the relevance of the social organization of small producers in associations, this study aimed characterize the Association of Natural Rubber Producers (APROBON) and their associates, analyzing technological issues and socio-economic, in the Office Rural Development (EDR) from Jales (SP). The datas were obtained from technicals, the president of the Association and through questionnaires applied to members. After the creation of APROBON, producers stated there was strengthening of the productive chain of natural rubber, which biased producers relatives, partners toward recovery of the product and return obtained from it. The training and awareness of the importance of rubber natural in the rubber cultivation came in addition to the marketing of the production in group, through the union of producers, achieving the best price kg clot (DRC-53%). The economic results show that culture is profitable in the region, with nine years of back pay for the recovery of investment in deployment and maintenance of the rubber tree and an internal rate of return of 21,8%, much higher than the discount rate of the project, presenting itself as a viable option to producers interested in diversifying their activities. / Mestre
