The research problem that the thesis is concerned with is the definition of the components of the "attractiveness" of a regional shopping center as they pertain to the decision-making process of the consumer. In addition, variations among the shopping patterns of male and female shoppers and among income groups are examined.

Структура магистерской диссертации включает в себя введение, три главы, заключение, список использованных источников и приложения. В первой главе проводятся теоретические аспекты социальных проблем в развитии территорий на примере девелоперского проекта, а также: основные понятия девелопмента, девелоперского проекта, особенности управления коммерческой недвижимостью и финансирование девелоперского проекта; понятие торгово-развлекательного центра, основные недостатки современных торгово-развлекательных центров; социально-экономические проблемы развития прилегающих территорий крупных городов. Во второй главе рассматривается макроэкономическая ситуация на рынке торговой недвижимости Свердловской области, социально-демографический анализ Свердловской области и концепция девелоперского проекта по открытию торгово-развлекательного центра. В третьей главе выполняется экономическая оценка эффективности реализации и качественная оценка социальной эффективности планируемого девелоперского проекта на примере строительства торгово-развлекательного центра. Магистерская диссертация содержит 136 страниц печатного текста, в диссертации представлены 41 рисунок, 40 таблиц, 11 формул, список использованных источников включает 61 наименование. / Structure of master's thesis includes introduction, three chapters, conclusion, list of used sources and applications. In the first Chapter are theoretical aspects of social problems in the development of territories on the example of a development project, as well as: basic concepts of development, development project, especially commercial real estate management and financing of a development project; the concept of the shopping center, the main disadvantages of modern shopping centers; socio-economic problems of development of the adjacent territories of cities. The second Chapter examines the macroeconomic situation in the retail market of the Sverdlovsk region, the socio-demographic analysis of the Sverdlovsk region and the concept of a development project for the opening of the shopping center. The third Chapter is performed economic evaluation of efficiency of implementation and quality evaluation of social effectiveness of a planned development project by the example of the construction of the shopping center. Master thesis contains 136 pages of text, a thesis submitted to the 41 figure, 40 tables, 11 formulas list of references includes 61 name.

Within the context of the contribution that urban infill development makes to urban wholeness, this thesis examines three specific sites in the city of Charlotte, North Carolina. The thesis tests the impact upon these sites of certain environmental design theories and principles developed primarily during the twentieth century. Subsequently, it examines what effect the infilling of these sites has upon the urban wholeness of the surrounding city. / Master of Science
