The development of control schemes to control fractional power electrical machines such as the single-phase induction motor has been in evidence due to the needs of improvements on efficiency energy demanded by the market. The constructive aspects of this motor does not allow to apply control schemes directly. Thus, it is necessary to model the single-phase induction motor as a two-phase motor. The model considers coordinates transformations to stationary systems. To fix the asymmetry of the motor windings, a symmetry transformation is required to apply the control schemes. Classical control schemes based on field-oriented control and direct torque control were evaluated. Numerical simulations were performed to review how these control schemes work and to verify the feasibility of experimental implementation. For control schemes based on field-oriented control, the rotor flux oriented control and the stator flux oriented control were evaluated. Some constraints on the classical direct torque control were noted due to the high switching frequencies. An alternative to the classical direct torque control to allow constant switching frequencies was evaluated. Experimental results were found by using a hardware system based on digital signal processor.

No. of bitstreams: 1 LUIZ HENRIQUE REIS DE CASTILHO STIVAL.pdf: 1746208 bytes, checksum: 43e8c467b1dc79668c87e730e785a4d8 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2010-08-20 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The single-phase induction motor, in permanent split capacitor topology, is utilized on most of the clothes wash machines on Brazilian market. This configuration presents limitations on motor drive and on energy efficiency of the system. This work suggests a drive control method for the single-phase induction motor, aiming to deliver benefits on energy efficiency and improving motor drive. On this work, a mathematical model of the motor is derived to compare, through simulation, this proposal among different solutions. Then, the implementation of the proposal is done to gather experimental results. These results are compared to the results of the current control used on wash machines. The proposal achieved good advantages on dynamics response and system efficiency, although impacts the final cost of the solution.

Energetické parametry jednofázových asynchronních motorů / Energy parameters of single-phase induction machines

Janáček, Martin January 2016 (has links)
The master's thesis deals and introduces a single-phase inductions machines, the principle of operation, types of design and operating conditions. This thesis includes analysis of individual losses in the machine and reduce the possibility of different ways. After a theoretical proposal for reducing losses are measured by mass-produced single-phase induction machine. Further machine modifications proposed for reducing losses in the stator windings and designed a prototype machine with the adjustment of the magnetic circuit to reduce iron losses made by ATAS elektromotory Nachod a.s. The results are supplemented by a simulation using software Maxwell RMxprt and finite element method (FEM). Finally, they are compared to each machines modifications mainly in terms of energy consumption.

Speciální asynchronní motory malého výkonu. / Special low-power induction motors.

Belica, Andrej January 2016 (has links)
Master thesis deals with design and construction of the most widely used engines currently. Overall, it is divided into five chapters, the first chapter deals with constructional features of various three-phase asynchronous motors, the second chapter briefly paid attention to single-phase motors. The next chapter focuses on the specific engine types, which differ from standard induction motors in its design implementation. This is an engine with full rotor, hysteresis, linear and with shaded field. Although asynchronous motors are considered the most reliable machines work in imperfect conditions, it leads to frequent breakdowns. This is covered in chapter four. Based on the findings from previous chapters the fifth chapter includes a preliminary draft of the asynchronous motor with a full rotor. The last chapter is devoted to the measurement on functional models.

Vácha, Pavel January 2011 (has links)
The master´s thesis deal with the thesis of a single-phase induction motor that is more and more used all over the world. Its aim is assembling the information about this type of motor and its calculation. The content of the first part is the theoretical analysis of a single-phase induction motor and acquirement ways of the stroke moment. Than the work contains a project of basic schema of the single-phase induction motor with an auxiliary phase. The practical part is devoted to an elaboration of demonstration example of the single-phase induction motor with concrete parameters calculation, its method was projected before. Than there is practising successived measuring on the motor of the same parameters made firm EMP s.r.o. Slavkov by Brno in this part. In the conclusion there is the evaluation of the whole process with reached results.
