In the diploma thesis, objectives were set that were intended to find out medical, mental and social problems of women after complicated childbirth and to compare the problems with those of women after physiological childbirth. The other objective was to find out what kinds of complicated deliveries occur in Nemocnice Písek, a.s. /Písek Hospital/ the most. Hypotheses were set for the objectives. The first hypothesis was to confirm that birth injuries after complicated childbirth are healed per secundam. The second hypothesis was to confirm that women after complicated childbirth feel that they will not manage care for their family. The third hypothesis was to confirm problems with economic support of a family in the cases of single mothers after complicated childbirth. The fourth hypothesis was to confirm that women after complicated childbirth do not have enough information about social security. The fifth hypothesis was to confirm that in Písek Hospital, the most frequent complicated deliveries include Cesarean sections.

This diploma thesis is focused on child protection in the context of divorce or separation of his parents and deals with the role of the authority of social - legal protection of children and the court in this matter. Mainly defines the terms of the applicable legislation in divorce matters (care of children after divorce, child's contact with the parents, alimony), which are usually the subject of protracted disputes between parents. The introductory section also mentions the importance of the family for the child and for society, the characteristics of the contemporary family, as well as divorce and its possible impact on the child and the wider surroundings of the family. In the empirical part, the work focuses on comparing the practices of social workers of the authority child protection offices in Prague with practices of social workers at the offices of towns in the Central Region in divorce issues, particularly in the area of investigation in the family. The theses is focused on the work with deprivated families with concentration on the method of family cure an its application in the City of Most. It is work which is based on combination of theoretical and empirical access to the problem which leads to proposal of practical application of the method in praxis. The document is structured in six chapters. The first chapter follows the term "family" as the basic cathegory of the issue. The second chapter deals with the theme of deprivated family, which represents the target group of the cure process. Diploma thesis "Analysis of Dům tří přání clients and their family background" presents the current system of care for children at risk in the historical development of children`s rights protection, social-legal protection of children; actual concept of particular departments, state administration, and non-government sector. The social-legal protection of children in the Czech Republic is segmental and is not enough to guarantee children`s rights to live in their biological families in case of support shortage. The forthcoming transformation and unification of the system of care for children is a great appeal for improving the cooperative work of all concerned in this field. One of the important element of the system, acting as a part of prevention of putting children into the institutions with constitutional education, is the civil association "Dům tří přání" which is authorized in providing the social-legal protection of children, and devices for children requiring immediate help. With the help of analysis of family background of children who are the clients of "Dům tří přání", and processing of selected statistical data, the given diploma thesis specifies some functional methods of working with children at risk and their families, directed to the safe family background and child`s development in the family.

This thesis titled Amendment to the social-legal protection of children from the perspective of employees of social-legal protection deals with the social-legal protection of children in the Czech Republic, where in connection with the adoption of the amendment to the social-legal protection of children effective from 1st January 2013 saw a number of changes in the activities of the social-legal protection of children and the exercise of social-legal protection of children in general. In this thesis describes the most important changes that the Law on the social-legal protection of children and bring briefly outlined in this work also changes from 1st January 2014 will bring an amendment to the Civil Code, the issue of social-legal protection of children is closely related. The empirical part of the thesis interprets the opinion of respondents - professionals in the adopted amendments, interprets their needs and opinions of management on the governing bodies and the good social-legal protection abroad. My dissertation work deals with substitute foster care. It's mainly focused on summary of changes in law in the current systém and their contribution to practice. The main goal was to map out the area of substitute foster care from the very first references of foundlings of Bohemia and Moravia. The theoretical part is divided into four chapters that include history, reason of changes from the UN to the amendment of laws and their implementation. Further I describe all forms of substitute foster care in Czech republic including financing and education of foster parents. The last chapter of theoretical part I focused on the substitute foster care system in the UK which is the model for a similar system in the Czech republic. The practical part is dedicated to qualitative research that tries by using the semi-structured interviews to find out how the mentioned changes work in praxis and how they affect the work of social workers and foster parents. The praxis shows that the amendment helps the healthy development of the child however the praxis lacks a coherent tools of social work to its proper fulfillment and functionality.

This thesis treats the service "Field Social Work in vulnerable families" provided by Diakonie of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren - The Center of Christian Aid in Prague. This service is regarded as one of the most effective types of interventions to vulnerable families. The support of such families is based both on the concept of social functioning and related life situations, as well as on the approaches and concepts (paradigms of social work) of the specific field social workers. The process of evaluating the life situation of a family is rather a difficult one which until today has not been standardized throughout the Czech Republic. On the 1st January 2013 a new Decree No. 473/2012 Coll. came into force, introducing a form designed for evaluating the life situations of a child. Since then there has been an ongoing reform in the Department of Social and Legal Protection of Children. The service Field social work in vulnerable families would like to follow this reform. That is why it is necessary to map the present state of evaluating life situations of families with children in our Service and use the results in order to create an effective and efficient method for future work. The aim of this diploma thesis is to describe the role of the Children´s socio-legal protection authority in dealing with risk behavior of children and youth and to analyze methods and instruments used by this authority to maximize the effectiveness of interventions, which should eliminate the risk behavior of children that negatively influences their personality development. The thesis also mentions the legislative regulation, which represents the base for socio-legal protection. In the theoretical part personality factors as well as impacts of family, school and social surroundings, which contribute to the creation and continuation of risk behavior, are analyzed. The thesis then focuses on the problem of truancy, which belongs to types of risk behavior. In the practical part the thesis presents, what curators for children and youth claim about their cooperation with schools in solving children's truancy during compulsory school attendance, which family and school factors they find risky and whether they consider current legal and methodical setting to be sufficient. At the end, the thesis deduces from results implications and recommendations for education staff in schools, i.e. class teachers, workers in education counselling and school directors, to prevent (or at least to minimize) truancy and emphasizes the possibility to cooperate with authorities of children´s socio-legal protection, which can be established already, when the first signals of absenteeism occur or in case of other educational problems, mainly poor interaction with children's parents.
