Assim o presente trabalho teve como objetivo determinar as formas de (K total, K não-trocável, K trocável e K na solução do solo) e o poder tampão de potássio em solos com diferentes teores de argila e verificar a correlação entre o teor de argila, matéria orgânica e CTC com as formas de potássio e o PTK. O trabalho foi realizado no Laboratório de Química do Solo, da Universidade de Brasília - UnB. Foram utilizadas 38 amostras de textura variável (<150g kg-1; 151-350g kg-1; 351- 360g kg-1; > 600 g kg-1 de argila) procedente do Centro de Tecnologia Agropecuária da Campo, situada em Paracatu-MG. As formas de K do solo apresentaram grande amplitude de valores independente da textura. Os solos apresentaram poder tampão de potássio com grande variação, esta variação ocorreu, principalmente, em função das diferenças nos atributos químicos e físicos dos solos. Apenas o teor de argila não explicou as diferenças nas formas de potássio no solo. ______________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / The potassium in the soil comes in various forms many of which are not available to plants. Thus, this study aimed determine the forms of (K total, non-exchangeable K, exchangeable K and K in soil solution) and determine the potassium buffering capacity in soils with clay different and the correlation between clay content, organic matter, and CTC with the forms of potassium and potassium buffering capacity. The study was conducted at the Laboratory of Soil Chemistry, University of Brasília – UNB. 38 samples were used of varying texture (<150g kg-1; 151-350g kg-1; 351- 360g kg-1; > 600 g kg-1 clay) the Center for Agricultural Technology Campo located in Paracatu-MG. The forms of soil K showed high amplitude values independent of the texture. Soils presented with potassium buffering large variation, this variation was mainly due to differences in chemical and physical attributes of soils. Only the clay content did not explain the differences in the forms of potassium in the soil.
