This work deals with the modifications of project MeDiMed, which ceased to meet the requirements it imposed. In the first part the main objectives, targets and methods to achieve them are defined. The second part deals with the theory that is needed to understand the issue. In the practical part, which is based on the theory is prepared SWOT analysis and the modified HOS-8 analysis of the current state, whose results are then analyzed. The next section presents design of new solution. The conclusion summarizes all the proposed solutions and knowledge that have been achieved in this work.

The aim of this master thesis is to make the EU structural funds functioning clear and to show the possibilities of the European social fund utilization in 2007 - 2013 period. The thesis tries to cover systematically the regional policy issues - from its principal to the specific use of its instruments in order to fulfil set objectives. The aim of this work provides an analysis of the possibilities of utilization of Structural funds for the development of Czech SMEs with the focus on the support of human resources development. This work has been written to elucidate the problems of feasibility study, as valuating document of public projects and its creating in practice. In the theoretical part I have explained the public projects, possibility of their financing as well as one of the cost methods of their evaluation, e.g. cost benefit analysis. I have described the application eCBA, which is nowadays compulsory annex to application for subsidies from the structural sources in many cohesion regions. A content of the practical part is creating of the feasibility study for the construction project which has already been done. Not only its traditional forms but its development in application eCBA too. These outputs fully replace feasibility study just in cohesion region Southeast.

The main topic of my thesis called „Investment construction co-financed from EU Funds“ is basic description of principles and objectives of of structural (cohesion) policy including its development and instrument for its application – EU Funds. The dissertation project Roma on the Czech countryside: Determinants of exclusion, potentials for inclusion deals with the situation of Roma in Czech rural municipalities. The starting motivation for the author's exploration of this topic has been information about the growing number of segregated localities in rural areas. In the local public discourses within the peripheral areas, this phenomenon has often been explained as the consequence of poverty-driven urban-rural migration. However, as the migration of socially excluded populations into disadvantaged areas stirs a lot of fears and negative emotions that provide a fertile ground for the spread of rumours, the author's preparatory research soon revealed that it is necessary to carefully distinguish between myths and reality. The author's desire to understand the complex processes behind the emergence of new Roma localities in rural areas required a combination of working methods: The author analysed the national policy and regulatory framework and realized empirical research in five micro-regions in different parts of the Czech Republic.
