The diploma thesis deals with the problems how to get the financial resources from European Union for the company Moravec – bakery Ltd. and how to make up the project of application for the subsidy. On the basis of realized possibilities the thesis contains the proposal of project which should makes easy relevant application for the subsidy.

The goal of the thesis is to consider various ways how to finance entrepreneurial plan of a concrete manufacturing company with the focus on project financing from the European Union funds. In the theoretical part financing forms from the European Funds are discussed. Practical part focuses on Montanna Ltd, possible investment objectives are presented. The thesis also identifies investment plan and deals realization methods considering financing from the European Union funds.

The introduced diploma thesis suggests a business plan for new activities of a middle entrepreneur, financed by European Structural Funds. The target is to build a training centre for public, the applicant is educational institution. The first part of thesis deals with theoretical aspects of European Structural Funds topic, second part composes own business plan suggestions.

Master´s thesis deals with a proposal of the project financing from the EU funds, which is related to reconstruction of the boarding house on the east of Slovakia. The proposal of the project is created from the structure of a feasibility study and on the basis of evaluation by net present value is the investment project regarded as profitable.

The diploma thesis is to elaborate a business plan, analyzing the possibilities for its financing, compared with the allocation of funding options and grants without, using indicators measuring efficiency. The content of the business project is to analyze the situation of HyposNet Ltd., describing its activities, products and services. The reason for the processing of a business plan is the establishment of training center at the residence.

The aim of this thesis is to propose the financing options for the project 'Views of Ha-ná'. The project counts for financing from structural funds of EU primarily. In case the applicant doesn't acquire the requested funds from EU, fund source alternatives are dis-cussed. In the theoretical part of the thesis I deal with the tools and aids of EU in current programme period 2007-2013, the branches of EU and with the village Skalka, which wants to carry out this project.

This study investigates the heterogeneity of European NUTS-2 regions with regard to their ability to take advantage of European Union (EU) structural funds aimed at convergence. It considers a concept of absorptive capacity based on regional policy design, and additionally accounts for the programming period 2007-2013 in the empirical analysis. A fuzzy regression discontinuity design allowing for heterogeneous treatment effects is applied to evaluate convergence funds in 250 NUTS-2 regions from 2000 (and 1989) to 2013. The main results suggest a positive conditional impact of funds payments on regional GDP per capita growth. However, based on a time-varying treatment effects model, we are able to identify a deterioration in the effectiveness of convergence funds during the programming period 2007-2013. Furthermore, the analysis reveals an inverted U-shaped relationship between the share of committed funds paid out and GDP per capita growth. This thesis deals with the topic of innovations in the EU and the instruments of their support. The aim of this paper is to sum up the results of the support which was provided for innovations in the last decade and to identify possible problematic areas which hinder achieving the stated goals in this field. In the first part, after a short introduction where innovations and related terms are defined, innovations are put in context with the Lisbon strategy and the strategy Europe 2020 - the key European strategic documents. The second part focuses on the description of the EU financial instruments which are used to support the R&D&I in the Czech Republic. The final part deals with analysis of the current position of the European Union in the area of innovations and identifies the problematic areas.

The thesis Italy: economy and regional differentiation deals in the first place with the current problem of the state of Italian economy influenced by the global economic crisis and secondly it looks at the underdevelopment of South Italian regions. In connection with the economic crisis the thesis describes measures adopted by the Italian government in order to reduce negative effects of the crisis on the economy and employment. These measures, especially the fiscal stimulus, belonged to the lowest in Europe also by reason of the huge general government gross debt. The second part of the thesis looks at the problem of the regional differentiation among the regions of the North and the South of Italy. South Italian regions suffer from underdevelopment, high rate of unemployment and low rate of employment and these problems haven't been successfully solved even after many years of their existence. The unfavourable situation in South Italian regions has moreover been worsened by the unstable political situation, corruption and activities of the organised crime. These obstacles are widely spread in Italy also according to the research of the World Economic Forum. It was supposed that the underdevelopment of South Italian regions would reduce as a result of the implementation of European Structural funds. The main part of the financial resources assigned to Italy goes to the South and so it was expected that the influence in southern regions would prove to be remarkable. Unfortunately, even after expiration of three programming periods just a little positive impact on the alleviation of regional disparities in Italy was proved. The quality of implementation especially in the South is affected by irregularities and frauds and the executed projects are often ineffective. This thesis comes to the conclusion that just a minimal convergence takes place among italian regions and the EU Structural funds failed to meet their main objective in Italy.

The work deals with allocations of financial resources redistributing by European Union Structural funds for the running program period 2007-2013. The theoretical part describes all funds in Czech Republic, creation of application and confirmation of the application. It tries to find the mistakes, which the applicants often do and it indicates, what is the best way to prevent them. The main thesis of Structural funds is balancing economical differences particulars regions. The work describes particular allocations for NUTS II regions and their actual level of money ran out. To adjust a difference between particular regions, the poorest region should get the most of financial resources. Conclusion of the work describes, the financial resources do not redistribute in a way to minimize the economic differences between the regions, and conversely it tends to their bigger differences.
