Hodnocení úspěšnosti fúzí a akvizic v ČRSvobodová, Ivana January 2007 (has links)

Striving for Success in an Uncertain EnvironmentStershic, Sandra 01 May 2014 (has links)
Using one's success and failure experiences can be an indicator of how well risk is being managed in uncertain situations, particularly because exact probability information about outcomes is often missing. Experience-based paradigms include this more real-world aspect of a lack of information when studying risk taking behavior. This thesis builds upon experience-based paradigms to include the element of skill.
A puzzle task was developed. A goal was given to participants to try to discern a pattern in each puzzle that would yield consistently positive outcomes. Participants were randomly assigned to a high or low success rate, but told that skill played a role in performance. The outcomes associated with each puzzle were chosen by the participant, and served as a measure of risk taking. After playing 41 puzzles, participants responded to scales measuring skill and chance beliefs, and motivational focus.
Risk preferences were similar to experience-based paradigm predictions, though they were not well-calibrated. Those with a high success rate took more risks relative to those with a low success rate, but the results were less extreme than predicted. In addition, a closer look revealed that the pattern for those with a low success rate began by increasing their risk taking, and then did not decrease their risk taking significantly. Neither group felt that skill or chance was playing a dominant role in outcomes, though self-serving bias was observed as better performance did lead to higher ratings of skill. Overall, the results suggest that introducing the potential for skill may change how people approach risk in ways not predicted by experience-based paradigms.

Factors that influence the success of small and medium enterprises: Case study of ICT sector in the Czech Republic / Factors that influence the success of small and medium enterprises: Case study of ICT sector in the Czech RepublicKrejčí, Martin January 2013 (has links)
Position of small and medium companies in the information technology sector plays important role in the functioning on any state's economy. Focusing on a specific local market and using the Czech Republic as a case study, one has to state that most Czech firms face difficulties when trying to achieve economic success. Based on this fact, small and medium enterprise rating seems to be appropriate approach to determine factors that influence their performance and thus the possibility to help with their situation. Aim of this Master thesis is to determine these factors and construct econometric success rate models. Questionnaire research among ICT enterprises, and further statistical analysis showed that the earnings- employee ratio, average revenues and the R&D importance ratio plays the most important role in their success. Both, financial and non-financial indicators perform significantly in these predictions. Bibliographic record Krejčí, M. (2013): Factors that influence the success of small and medium enterprises. Analýza forhendu elitních tenistů ve vybraném utkání / Analysis of the elite tennis playersfor the selected matchChlumecký, Tomáš January 2018 (has links)
Title: Analysis of the elite tennis players for the selected match Objectives: The aim of the work was to find out the frequency, effectiveness and success of the elite players in the selected French Open 2018 match. This was the final match of this tournament, where i analyzed every forehand. Methods: The analysis was done by observing video recordings of final matches from the French Open 2018. This was a notation analysis. The results were recorded in pre-created tables and then converted to charts. Results: The results show us which player has used the forhend, where the forhend was more successful, more efficient, and in which direction it was played. Keywords: forehand, frequency, efficiency, success rate

Vliv místa utkání na úspěšnost střelby v házené / The effect of the place of the match on the shooting success in handball.Klimt, Václav January 2016 (has links)
Title: The effect of the place of the match on the shooting success in handball. Objectives: The main objective of this work is to find out whether the place where the match is taking place affects the shooting success from individual player areas, and also the overall shooting success of the selected team. Another objective was to find out whether the place has got an effect on the result of the match. Methods: For data collection we used the methods of direct observation, indirect observation and analytical method in our work. The results were processed using the Mann Whitney test, Wilcoxon test and Mc Nemar test. Results: We found out that the place at which the match is taking place does not affect the overall percentage success rate of shooting of the selected team. Also it was not statistically proved, that the place affects the percentage success rate of shooting even from one of the basic areas of player functions for the attack. Keywords: handball, shooting, percentage success rate, place, game performance

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the treatment success rate of Class II malocclusion without extractions, according to initial severity. Class II subjects were divided into 2 groups according to the severity of the malocclusion. Group 1 comprised 144 patients with bilateral half Class II malocclusion at the initial mean age of 12.27 years. Group 2 comprised 132 patients who initially had bilateral complete Class II malocclusion at the initial mean age of 12.32 years. The patients initial and final study models were evaluated with Graingers treatment priority index. Chi-square tests were used to test for differences between the 2 groups for categorical variables. Variables regarding occlusal results were compared with independent t tests. Group 1 had a significantly better final occlusal result, a shorter treatment time, and a higher treatment efficiency index. Based on these results, it was concluded that bilateral half Class II malocclusion has a better treatment success rate than bilateral complete Class II malocclusion when treatment is conducted without extractions

Time Memory Trade Off Attack On Symmetric CiphersSaran, Nurdan A. 01 February 2009 (has links) (PDF)
Time Memory Trade O (TMTO) is a cryptanalytic method that aims to develop an attack
which has a lower memory complexity than lookup table and a lower online time complexity
than exhaustive search. TMTO methods are widely studied in the literature and used for
inverting various cryptosystems. We focus on the design and the analysis of TMTO on symmetric
ciphers in this thesis. Firstly, the summary of the random mapping statistics from the
view point of TMTO is presented. We also recalculate some expected values with a simpler
approach than the existing proofs. Then, we propose some variant constructions and
also present three new distinguishers based on random mappings. Next, we provide a detailed
analysis of the success rate of two main improvements of the attack / Distinguished
Point Method and Rainbow Method. Finally, we discuss the adjustment of the parameters to
achieve a high success rate. To support our theoretical framework, we also present empirical
results of our analysis to actual ciphers.
