It's analyzed the important urban nucleus at the Comarca Rio das Mortes and the elevation of the Campanha da Princesa vill which owns the espace that was formed by many reasons in the south Minas region, since the population that was born in the mineral deposit areas found as also nucleus that were stablished in exchange spots, commerce and farming activities focused on internal and external supply. It is investigated also the evolution of these nucleus and the conflicts that happened in their terms until the materialization of this territory. All of the study seeks to relate these transformations to what was happening in the economy of the colony and the metropole emphasizing the importance of the south Minas urban nucleus, until it comes to the rural patrimony that exist until theses days as inheritance of this mixed economy, aiming to understand that the history of Minas Gerais, goes beyond the gold and mining. The study has as its objective to show that Minas is a complex mixture of different activities and factors that contributed for its formation. / Este trabalho busca tra?ar uma an?lise da forma??o do territ?rio no sul de Minas Gerais, investigando a forma??o dos primeiros caminhos, partindo de diversas localidades da col?nia e desbravando os sert?es em busca de ouro e ?ndios para escravid?o. Analisamos a importante rede de n?cleos urbanos na Comarca do Rio das Mortes e a eleva??o da Vila de Campanha da Princesa, detentora do espa?o que se formou por diversos motivos na regi?o do sul de Minas, desde as povoa??es que nasceram pelas jazidas encontradas at? os n?cleos que se estabeleceram em pontos de troca, com?rcio e das atividades agropastoris voltadas para o abastecimento interno e externo. Investigamos tamb?m a evolu??o desses n?cleos e os conflitos que ocorreram em seus termos, at? chegar ? materializa??o deste territ?rio. Todo o estudo busca vincular essas transforma??es com o que estava acontecendo na economia da col?nia e da metr?pole, enfatizando a import?ncia dos n?cleos urbanos do sul de minas, at? chegar aos patrim?nios rurais que temos como heran?a desta economia mista, e buscando entender que a hist?ria de Minas Gerais vai al?m do ouro e da minera??o. PUC Campinas / The ensemble of farms located in the south of the state of Minas Gerais, represents a great collection of reminiscences in the formation of the territory from the first attempts of arrival at the gold mines until the affirmation of the region as the most producer of items exported to the Court. The farms are exemplary creators of a rural landscape, which will be analyzed as a spatial representation in the process of construction of the territory and as the generator of the small cities in the region. In analyzing the symbolic values associated with the landscape, it is intended to demonstrate that the protection actions for the set of material and immaterial goods that make up the southern territory of Minas Gerais need to be supported by new parameters of value attribution and new scales of apprehension. Therefore, the central hypothesis is that the cultural landscape of the studied region combines a specific geography with singular natural elements and a significant material and immaterial patrimony that still remains integrated through the reiteration of social practices, over time, whose value can only be measured when the field of apprehension is returned to the history of the formation of the territory and the landscape and not to the significant elements alone. / O conjunto de fazendas localizado no sul do estado de Minas Gerais representa um grande acervo de remanescentes da forma??o do territ?rio desde as primeiras tentativas de chegada ?s minas de ouro at? a afirma??o da regi?o como maior produtora de itens exportados para a Corte. As fazendas s?o exemplares formadores de uma paisagem rural, que ser? analisada como representa??o espacial do processo de constru??o do territ?rio e como geradora das pequenas cidades existentes na regi?o. Ao analisar os valores simb?licos associados ? paisagem, pretende-se demonstrar que as a??es de prote??o para o conjunto de bens materiais e imateriais que comp?em o territ?rio sul mineiro necessitam se apoiar em novos par?metros de atribui??o de valor e novas escalas de apreens?o. Portanto, a hip?tese central ? a de que a paisagem cultural da regi?o estudada combina uma geografia espec?fica, com elementos naturais singulares e um significativo patrim?nio material e imaterial que ainda se mant?m integrado por meio da reitera??o de pr?ticas sociais, ao longo do tempo, cujo valor s? pode ser aferido quando se volta o campo de apreens?o para a hist?ria da forma??o do territ?rio e da paisagem e n?o para os elementos significativos isoladamente.
