Système de contrôle de gestion et trajectoire du propriétaire-dirigeant de petite entreprise : le secteur de l'agencement d'intérieur dans le grand Est. / System of management control and trajectory of the owner-manager of small firm : the industry of the inside layout from the East of France.

Bernard, Odile 06 October 2010 (has links)
The aim of this research is to establish the existence of a link between the design of the system of management control, set up by the owner-manager of the small firm itself and the variables of his trajectory. The design of the system of management control must be considered not only in the sense of the tools composing it, but also within the context of development, comprising firm's management techniques. The trajectory of the manager is represented by the variables of his social and occupational background, his personality and entrepreneurial skills, but also his prospective capacity.Case study methodology was applied to small independent firms of the area of inside layout, from the East of France, owned by the manager itself. Results show that the key-variable, the logic followed by the manager, fosters all the correlations between the design of the system of management control and the variables of the trajectory. Moreover, the system of management control exists as a function of the temporality - depending on the level of 'strategic ' thinking characterizing the manager.

Health Management and Prognostics of Complex Structures and Systems

January 2019 (has links)
abstract: This dissertation presents the development of structural health monitoring and prognostic health management methodologies for complex structures and systems in the field of mechanical engineering. To overcome various challenges historically associated with complex structures and systems such as complicated sensing mechanisms, noisy information, and large-size datasets, a hybrid monitoring framework comprising of solid mechanics concepts and data mining technologies is developed. In such a framework, the solid mechanics simulations provide additional intuitions to data mining techniques reducing the dependence of accuracy on the training set, while the data mining approaches fuse and interpret information from the targeted system enabling the capability for real-time monitoring with efficient computation. In the case of structural health monitoring, ultrasonic guided waves are utilized for damage identification and localization in complex composite structures. Signal processing and data mining techniques are integrated into the damage localization framework, and the converted wave modes, which are induced by the thickness variation due to the presence of delamination, are used as damage indicators. This framework has been validated through experiments and has shown sufficient accuracy in locating delamination in X-COR sandwich composites without the need of baseline information. Besides the localization of internal damage, the Gaussian process machine learning technique is integrated with finite element method as an online-offline prediction model to predict crack propagation with overloads under biaxial loading conditions; such a probabilistic prognosis model, with limited number of training examples, has shown increased accuracy over state-of-the-art techniques in predicting crack retardation behaviors induced by overloads. In the case of system level management, a monitoring framework built using a multivariate Gaussian model as basis is developed to evaluate the anomalous condition of commercial aircrafts. This method has been validated using commercial airline data and has shown high sensitivity to variations in aircraft dynamics and pilot operations. Moreover, this framework was also tested on simulated aircraft faults and its feasibility for real-time monitoring was demonstrated with sufficient computation efficiency. This research is expected to serve as a practical addition to the existing literature while possessing the potential to be adopted in realistic engineering applications. / Dissertation/Thesis / Doctoral Dissertation Mechanical Engineering 2019

Designing An Information System For Material Management In Engineer-to-order Organizations

Dede, Erdogan 01 January 2007 (has links) (PDF)
In this thesis, an information system is designed and developed for engineer-to-order organizations to improve the traditional Bill-of-Material by handling variants of products and components efficiently. A database is developed to store the related information about inventories and configuration management in an effective way. The improved Bill-of-Material provides a common structure to access stored information for material management purposes. A model, based on network, is presented and included into the system for calculating time required to produce components and to make subassemblies or assemblies with the current inventory levels. The system is applied to T&Uuml / BiTAK-SAGE, which is an engineer-to-order organization carrying out Research and Development projects for Defense Industry.

The challenge of implementing TPS in the Czech Republic: A study in cross-cultural management / Výzva implementace TPS v České republice: studie v mezikulturním managementu

Koža, Michal January 2014 (has links)
This master's thesis analyzes the possibilities of implementation of Toyota Production System within Japanese subsidiaries in Czech Republic. It explores the fit between the cultural values of Czech and Japanese management and the values incorporated in the Toyota Production System. In order to conduct the study, 79 companies were contacted, and survey responses from a total of 108 Czech and Japanese employees were collected. Data from the survey show that both Czech and Japanese employees have similar values related to work and neither job satisfaction nor number of conflicts is connected with TPS training. In the conclusion, areas for further research and more detailed elaboration are identified and presented.
