Rapporten är ett examensarbete som utförts i den avslutande delen av Högskoleingenjörsprogrammet i Maskinteknik. Examensarbetet är utfört av Anders Dedorsson Ylén, student vid fakulteten för hälsa, teknik- och naturvetenskap på Karlstads Universitet. Examensarbetet har utförts på Arvika Smide AB vars uppdrag gick ut på att införa SPS vid pressgrupp 5, samt undersöka hur väl företaget jobbar med ISO/TS 16949.  I rapporten finns en teoretisk del om SPS och ISO standarden ISO/TS 16949. Vidare beskrivs hur SPS använts som metod för att mäta maskinens duglighet och behov av underhåll, samt hur mätningarna utförts. Här beskrivs också av vad som skett vid renovering av smidespressen och vilka resultateten blev av mätningar gjorda efter arbetet. Lämplig metod för att se vart företaget befinner sig i sitt arbete med ISO/TS 16949 och förslag på förbättrat arbete med ISO/TS redovisas. Rapporten redovisar att SPS kan vara ett styrande medel vid tillståndsbaserat underhåll på en smidespress och hur företaget kan utveckla sitt arbete med ISO/TS 16949. / The report is a master thesis carried out in the final part of the Bachelor of Science education in Mechanical Engineering. The work is carried out by Anders Dedorsson Ylén, a student at the Faculty of Health, technology and natural science at the University of Karlstad. The work has been performed at Arvika Smide AB, whose mission was to introduce SPS at the pressgroup 5, and examine how well the company is working with ISO/TS 16949. The report contains a theoretical part about SPS and ISO standard ISO/TS 16949. It also describes how SPS can be used as a method for measuring machine condition and maintenance needs, and how the test's are carried out. It describes what has happened in the renovation of the forging press, and the results of measurements made after the renovation work was done. An appropriate method is presented to be able to see where the company is in its work with ISO/TS 16949 and suggestions for improved work with ISO/TS is suggested. The report shows that the SPS can be used as a guideline in condition-based maintenance of a forging press and how the company can improve its work with ISO/TS 16949.

Impact of the Implementation of QS-9000 on Customer Satisfaction in Taiwan¡¦s Auto-parts Manufacturing Industry

Taiwan¡¦s auto industry began with Taiwan Yulon Motor Company in 1957, as well as with the development of the related auto parts and components industry. After more than four decades, most companies have developed flexible production skills that allow them to produce a comprehensive assortment of auto parts and components in small quantities that meet international quality standards. The new wave of electronics manufacturing companies have devoted a large percentage of their resources to automotive products, either at their home base, or at their manufacturing facilities abroad. The QS-9000 Quality management system is a fundamental requirement for automotive parts suppliers. The main purpose of this thesis is to research the relationship between the implementation of QS-9000 and customer satisfaction. This study is focused on this inter-action from three perspectives: formulation, implementation and customer satisfaction. Key success factors such as; steering team, organization, target, criteria, documentation, training, standardization and auditing have been defined and studied for their effects on the QS-9000 management system implementation. Developing and implementation quality system utilizing the criteria given in the ISO 9000 or QS-9000 quality system standard can achieve satisfying customer requirements. The successful implementation of a quality management system can contribute to the overall business efficiency of an organization, such as administration, accounting, engineering, marketing, maintenance and after-sales service. The company shall develop the internal and external customer satisfaction indices to check the customer expectation on their service and product. Quality cost are the costs of putting thing right. The monitor for cost of quality can reduce the non-productivity hours and material scrap then achieves the continual improvement management philosophy. In addition, the surveyed case firms disclosed that the QS-9000 standards indeed helped their organization to upgrade the efficiency and service quality of their operation and as such enhance their company¡¦s image as well as customer satisfaction.

The aim of the thesis entitled "Analysis of the quality management system and preparing the organization Parker Hannifin, Ltd. for certification according to ISO/TS 16949 " is an analysis of the current state of quality management system in an organization Parker Hannifin Ltd. in readiness for certification according to technical specification ISO/TS 16949. This thesis consists of two parts. The theoretical part is a comparison of ISO 9001, which already is in an organization, and ISO/TS 16949 the organization wants to implement. The practical part is focused on analyzing the current state of quality management system and comparing it with the requirements of ISO/TS 16949 to know how is organization prepared for certification. There are also recomendations how to meet this requirements.

This diploma thesis focusses on quality management system settings in accordance with the international standard ISO/TS 16949 in the conditions of a medium-sized enterprise, a supplier for the automotive industry. The theoretical part of the thesis is based on professional literature, including professional articles, and describes individual theoretical outcomes, which are subsequently applied in the practical part. The practical part of the thesis concentrates on the project of the implementation of this standard into the structure of medium-sized enterprises. Furthermore, the thesis evaluates financial and temporal difficulties with regard to the introduction of certification. It also provides an analysis of key processes, proposes a process map and offers a risk analysis via the method FMEA as well as an assessment of individual tools of quality management. Overall, the thesis provides a holistic overview of the issue concerning the implementation of quality management system in the conditions of the supplier for the automotive industry.

Esta dissertação traz como tema recomendações para a implantação eficaz de um sistema de gestão da qualidade baseado na norma ISO/TS 16949:2009 combinando de modo original técnicas que abrangem três diferentes campos de conhecimento: a norma ISO/TS 16949:2009, os princípios de Gestão por Processos e o conhecimento em Gestão de Projetos. Tem como objetivo geral o emprego de práticas e ferramentas de gestão de projetos para a implantação da norma ISO/TS 16949:2009 em uma indústria de autopeças. Estas práticas estão consolidadas em um projeto composto por atividades agrupadas em cinco fases e pacotes de trabalho que permitem o adequado planejamento, execução e controle dos esforços de implantação. Este agrupamento utiliza como referência os cinco processos sugeridos pelo PMBOK® (Iniciação, Planejamento, Execução, Controle e Encerramento), no entanto customizando-os com o conteúdo específico do projeto em questão (implantação da norma ISO/TS 16949:2009).Como resultado, é gerado um projeto que possibilita a implantação bem sucedida de sistemas de gestão da qualidade e, consequentemente, a otimização dos resultados organizacionais. The thesis is devoted to analyze the system of various types of audit in the selected company. It explains the need to perform regular internal audit in large companies. This thesis includes theoretical preconditions for successful functioning of the audit system in the company and the analysis of a particular system in a large company in the automotive industry. Based on the analysis it suggests measures that lead to more effective performance of activities related to audits and its actual implementation. The aim is to explain the differences between the various types of audits, to analyze the existing system in the selected company and propose a new solution.

For this reason, there is a variety of publications of this subject. However, few are linked or cite references to quality standards. Another relevant fact is the lack of publications on the integration of industry quality standards, with the majority only addresses the integration of ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment), OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety) and SA 8000 (Social Responsibility). Therefore, it is concluded that there is a lack of published methods that manage the information of customer satisfaction for applications in organizations that have certificates in various industry sectors quality standards. This research included a case study in a large steel company that has the characteristics to perform it and this resulted in the proposal of a method for managing customer satisfaction consisting of 14 steps, which present practices and activities that should be undertaken by the organization. To achieve this goal it was considered the standard ISO 9001 and two industry standards (ISO/ TS 16949 and NBR 15100), a matrix for integration the satisfaction requirements of the three standards, two theoretical models for measuring customer satisfaction and the context in which the organization operates. / A mensuração da satisfação dos clientes tornou-se um processo de extrema importância para as organizações diante do cenário competitivo em que estas se encontram nos dias atuais. Por este motivo, nota-se uma variedade de publicações sobre o tema. No entanto, poucas estão atreladas ou citam referências às normas de qualidade. Outro fato relevante é a ausência de publicações sobre a integração de normas setoriais de qualidade, sendo que a maioria aborda somente a integração das normas ISO 9001 (Qualidade), ISO 14001 (Meio Ambiente), OHSAS 18001 (Segurança e Saúde Ocupacional) e SA 8000 (Responsabilidade Social). Conclui-se, portanto, que há uma carência de publicações de métodos que gerenciem as informações de satisfação dos clientes para aplicações em organizações que possuem certificados em diversas normas setoriais de qualidade. Esta pesquisa contemplou um estudo de caso em uma empresa siderúrgica de grande porte que possui as características para a realização desta e resultou na proposição de um método de gestão da satisfação de clientes composto por 14 passos, os quais apresentam as práticas e atividades que deverão ser realizadas pela organização. Para atingir este objetivo foram considerados: a norma ISO 9001 e duas normas setoriais (ISO/TS 16949 e NBR 15100), uma matriz para integração dos requisitos de satisfação das três normas, dois modelos teóricos de avaliação da satisfação de clientes e o contexto no qual a organização está inserida.
