"Své síly církvi a vlasti." - Josef Jan Sankot a jeho Dějepis města Telče na Moravě / ?My effort for church and country.? - Josef Jan Sankot and his History of the town Telč in Moravia

Main goal of the diploma essay is to analyze publication and present his author and set them into the context of their era. The sources are presented too. Diploma essay is divided to the four chapters. First chapter is describing author´s life. Second chapter is subdivided on four subchapters. First subchapter is presenting the sources, which Sankot used. Next one is analyzing his interpretation of history and methods, which were used. Thirdone is analyzing the publication in paleographically and grammatically way. The fourth subchapter is specialized on the content of Sankot´s book. The fifth subchapter is oriented on short discribing the concept of publication and comparing him to fair copy of publication. The fourth chapter is about exploitations and citations of the publication by other authors. Last chapter is describing Sankot´s predecessors and successors ad has two subchapters in which are presented their two most similar books. To the epilogue and list of used literature are added Sankot´s photo and some pictures from his publication. The script of History of the town Telč in Moravia is edited as supplement of the diploma essay.
