The Diploma thesis "Corpus verum et mysticum. The development of the relationship between the Eucharist and the Church in Theology from the 9th to the 12th century." is based on theological debates of the 20th century, concerning the application of the term corpus mysticum. While magisterial documents use this expression for the Church, a French theologist Henry de Lubac calls attention to the original holder - to the Eucharist. That's why this Diploma thesis is interested in a conception of the Church and the Eucharist, in their relationship and in their terminological development. It proceeds in chronological order. Initially it tries in a mentioned point of view to find and evaluate default texts in the Holy Scripture (Chapter 1), which were received by distinguished authors in the patristic period (Chapter 2). They influenced afterwards theologists of the Middle Age from 9th to 12th century. During this period the Eucharistic doctrine and the theological synthesis corpus triforme (Church, Eucharist and historical-heavenly Jesus) were being formed and developed; each of them was influencing the other one. The thesis deals with methods and quality of Fundamental theology teaching at theological faculties in Slovakia. Fundamental theology as a discipline on christian fundaments deepens knowledge of christology, ecclesiology, and revelation theology. The Holy script, tradition, pontifical and council documents and documents of papal counsels play an important role in this discipline too. In the history of fundamental theology the significant post is occupied also by the Second vatican council and its contribution to the Church. The aim of the thesis is collecting subject syllabi, structured lists of each theological program, all existing study materials, textbooks and distance learning materials of theological faculties in Slovakia. All information and materials obtained were appraised and considering other theological subjects and disciplines, the position of fundamental theology was defined.

Contemporary Authors Richard Schaefller and Theo de Boer gave new impulse to the philosophy of religion: a different view of God's characteristics (e.g. transcendence, perfection), emphasis on the experience of revelation and existential experience, finding inspiration in art and contemporary culture, thinking in a dialogical context - Personnel a positive perception of time and historicity, the newly rediscovered structure they will tell faith. In contrast, the philosophy of religion early 20th century based on reason and Aristotelian thought and refused to talk about the role of time in the region. As its representative serves to author of this work Cyril Weir's writings: Personal God and religion. The thesis assesses the work in the historical context, deals with the analysis of his book, while it compares with the current philosophy of religion. In the end the author evaluates the ideas that the results of his work can offer to the dogmatic theology.

The aim of this thesis is a theological reflection of contemporary Czech poetry. Specifically, the thesis deals with collections Úloža by Ivan Martin Jirous, Darmata by Petr Hruška and Osip míří na jih by Marie Iljašenko. It focuses mainly on their concepts of man, the world and transcendence. The work is divided into three chapters, the first two being a necessary prelude for chapter three. The first part of the thesis presents some of the ways in which theology can relate to poetry. Language, imagination and metaphor are presented as common fields of both theology and poetry. Furthermore, this chapter defines two possible theological approaches to poetry: The theological approach to poetry as an object of theology and as a subject of theology. In the second chapter, there is literary analysis of the collections, which is necessary for the third part. In the third part, which is the main focus of this thesis, a theological reflection of selected collections is presented. Its aim is not only to examine whether and how the selected themes in the collections correlate with their conception in theology, but also to present what they may be inspirational for theology.

The thesis deals with Tertullian's Apologeticum in contemporary context. The work is divided into four parts. The first part is dedicated to a brief description of author's time and life with emphasis on the difference between Apologeticum and his other works. The second part is about a complete interpretation of the text in which Tertullian defends Christian faith, argues with pagan accusations and suggests the role of Christians in a Roman society. This part also shows author's understanding of Christianity in relationship to paganism with an outcome that both groups are able to live together in peace. The third part is focused on current works of theologians and historians in which various aspects of Tertullian's work like innocence, grace or nature of true religion are depicted and discussed. Last but not least there are mentioned here the topics like question of God, his role for Roman emperors, pagans, but also for Christians who defend their way of life on principle of their belief. In the last part of the thesis I deal with the importance of Apologeticum for today's time. I concentrate mostly on the meaning we can derive from this work and how exactly we can transform his legacy into our daily life. The paper strives to highlight the common points between philosophy, theology and aesthetics, it is trying to demonstrate where and how these disciplines overlap, based on the view of Anglo-American authors. It consists of four main thematic sections. The first section is called The Relationship Between Philosophy, Theology and Aesthetics, the second one is The Debate in Anglo-American Aesthetics, the third section is titled The Debate in Anglo-American Philosophy, Religion and Art, and the fourth section is called The Debate in Anglo-American Theology. The author puts the greatest emphasis on the artistic, aesthetic area, as it is closest to us. Art is for the author the foundation and inspiration, the key to the link between the earthly and the divine nature, the cultural and religious areas, as Paul Tillich says.

The diploma thesis deals with the selected works of Karl Barth towards the development of modern German literature. Barth's theology as a dissenting voice with the then predominant phenomenon of Kulturprotestantism established a clear difference between divine revelation and its historic manifestations (religion, church organization). God is contradiction to all human ideas of Himself. This basic knowledge is suggested in his two major works: Letter to the Romans and the Church Dogmatics. In both there are visible similarities with expressionism, although Barth himself prefers to use literature of the 19th century for his argumentation. Barth wasn't famous for reception of modern literature. However, Barth's work became inspiration for Swiss countryman, writer Friedrich Dürrenmatt. Towards the end of his life, Barth launched a friendly correspondence with Carl Zuckmayer. That was during the time, where Barth was searching in so called human theology for a new explanation of God-Man relation, this time with respect to the Man.

FRANTIŠEK ŽÁK SJ (1862-1934) AND THEOLOGY OF CREATION The thesis is focused on the personality of Czech Jesuit priest František Žák SJ (1862-1934) and his theology of creation. In the first chapter the life story of František Žák is presented - the description of key moments of his life offers a basis for an evaluation of his personality. Consecutively, his writings are summed up in different thematic groups according to author's interest. In the second chapter Žák's main work of systematic theology - Soustavná katolická věrouka pro lid - is portrayed. Themes of different parts of the book are outlined and special focus is put on its fifth chapter, which deals with God the Creator. This question will be examined in the third chapter of this thesis. The fifth chapter of the book will be thematically and formally analyzed - with special regard to the way how Žák uses the evidence from the Scripture and Church Fathers. Finally, author's main work will be examined in comparison with the writings of his contemporaries Josef Pospíšil, Richard Špaček and Jan Valerián Jirsík. This dissertation deals with Dostoevsky's influence on Death of God theology. This is a comparative study that clarifies this influence against the background of how Dostoevsky's work was read and interpreted by some representatives of Dialectical theology. This study follows those themes of Dostoevsky's work which both theologies focus on and analyzes how they are interpreted within each theology. Both receptions of Dostoevsky are then compared not only against one another, but also against the original context of Dostoevsky's work.
