After that, three applications of the Banach Fixed Point Theorem are presented. The rst one is the Theorem of the Existence and Uniqueness of Solutions of Ordinary Di erential Equations. The second one has as theme the application of the Banach Fixed Point Theorem in the area of compression images on the Internet. In the third application, it is presented how the Google searcher works and what is the cause of its success. / Nesse trabalho faremos uma abordagem sobre a teoria dos espaços métricos a m de apresentarmos o Teorema do Ponto Fixo de Banach e em seguida o aplicaremos em resoluções de algumas equações não lineares com um método iterativo para a obtenção da solução. Finalizaremos apresentando três aplicações do Teorema do Ponto Fixo de Banach. A primeira se trata do Teorema de Existência e Unicidade de soluções de equações diferenciais ordinárias. A segunda tem como tema a aplicação do Teorema do Ponto Fixo de Banach na área de compressão de imagens na internet. Já a terceira aplicação será apresentado como funciona o buscador do Google e qual é a causa do seu sucesso.
