Numericamente foi aproximado o campo de temperatura, no estado estacionário, para diferentes posições em cada caso. A condutância e a dissipação de entrância foram avaliadas em todos os casos e suas predições de ótima configuração foram comparadas. Para as simulações numéricas foi escolhido o método de volumes finitos, função de interpolação Power-Law, acoplamento pressão-velocidade pelo método SIMPLE e solução dos sistemas lineares por TDMA. _______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / In the present work the cooling was treated by natural convection of one, three and five sources localized in a vertical wall of a rectangular cavity. One has approximated numerically the temperature field in the stationary state at different positions for each case. The conductivity and the dissipation of entransy were evaluated in all these cases and their predictions for optimal configuration were compared. In the numerical simulations one has chosen the method of finite volumes, the Power-Law interpolation function, the coupling of the pressure-velocity by SIMPLE method and the solution of linear systems by TDMA.
