No. of bitstreams: 1 Wilson Gomes da Silva Junior.pdf: 2946938 bytes, checksum: 57da714adf48fea3c41364a8a8dc123e (MD5) Previous issue date: 2011-02-23 / n order to reflect on the conception of the light shape, this work diagnosed the epistemological profile of the design of light of two high school physics teachers. It is based on George Kelly’s theory of personal constructs. Then there was a discussion of ideas on how scientists conceive science. Such philosophical analysis was suggested by Bachelard, and this research was adapted for four classes: animist, realistic, empirical-rationalist and ultra-rationalist. The applied methodology began with an exploratory research with three teachers. This method sought to identify the teachers who would be appointed research subjects and, after the identification of two subjects, it went on to its descriptive and analytical stage, in which teachers were encouraged to evoke elements that would help them think about the nature of Light. The evoked elements were arranged in the matrix register (MR) and then qualified by the degree of similarity between them, which influenced the investigated teachers’ interpretation of the conceptions. Finally, the research may conclude that the epistemological profile of research subjects about the nature of light is a set of concepts.
