ABSTRACT The research deals with the production of space in the municipality of Luis Eduardo Magalhaes / BA from the event Tradeshow and Agricultural Technology / Bahia Farm Show, in order to analyze its meaning in the face of global competition. It presents the Fair as a strategic action to localism that has emerged in the city, in addition , it is an action of promotion, distribution and sale of the advantages of territory, it is also the basis for joints involving local economic agents, governments and political representatives federal, state and local level. The analysis was guided by a model which consists in four key elements: conditions, actions / agents, media and streams, covering processes arising from the global, national, regional / state and local. Thus, the constraints reference the global competitive environment and the dialectic globalization-fragmentation, which results in the production of spatial differences and also the national context in relation to state incentives for the occupation of the Brazilian cerrado (a vast tropical savannaecoregion of Brazil), through agribusiness and transformations policies, which occurred in the Brazilian federalism in 1980, when many of them were favorable to municipalities. It is understood that the national procedures conformed a group of agents responsible for creating the municipality of Luis Eduardo Magalhaes / BA and these, drawing on the autonomy that the Brazilian city has about important topics, developed localist actions tuned to local realities to competitive global context. Means, composed of directory, booklets, brochures, website and advertisements broadcast on different communication vehicles are produced and / or contracted by the agents in order to make the Fair known nationally and internationally and thus attract new investments to the city . Finally, we analyze the local-global flows and found that the Bahia Farm Show is a competitive insertion strategy in the municipality of Luis Eduardo Magalhaes / BA in a globalized world and pointed out the Fair developments in social, economic and spatial. Therefore, the Bahia Farm Show is a strategic action taken by agents to consolidate the localist environment and express localism characterized by vertical links.

Martel, François January 2015 (has links)
Abstract : This thesis is a comment and a transcript of a tape recorded performance of the collective creation Chenier’s Children in Another Great Farewell Show that was presented from September 23 to October 11 in 1969. The show was created from the canvas and the stage directions of Jean-Claude Germain. It also took its source in the improvisations of comedians Louisette Dussault, Nicole Leblanc, Monique Rioux, Gilles Renaud and Jean-Luc Bastien. Not much documentation survived after a brief series of performances of this show except an audio tape and a few newspaper critics. However, in the Nouveau Théâtre québécois (1973), Michel Bélair states that the Farewell Show is a turning point in the evolution of Quebecois theatre. In order to clarify the role of this play in the evolution of Quebec’s theatre, we first situate it in the sociocultural context of Quebec between 1965 and 1970. A binary comparison between the Farewell Show and The Farm Show (Theatre Passe Muraille) as proposed by Philip Stratford will demonstrate afterward that the Farewell Show influenced the development of English Canadian theatre at the time. Moreover, one of the objectives of this thesis is to offer the first transcript of a performance of the Farewell Show recorded by Réginald Hamel in 1969. This transcript is created according to a transcription methodology developed from two fields of study – theatre and anthropology.
