Optimalizace svařovacích parametrů při laserovém svařování s přídavným studeným drátem / Optimization of welding parameters during laser welding with additional cold wire

This diploma thesis deals with the optimization of process parameters of welding a drainage channel using a laser beam with an additional cold wire. This channel is made of austenitic Cr Ni stainless steel X5CrNi 18-10 (1.4301, ČSN 17 240) with a sheet thickness 1,5 mm. Mechanical properties of samples were checked by using transverse tensile test. Subsequently, the samples were macroscopically inspected focusing on dimensions of the weld and the presence of weld defects. Finally, the structure of the weld metal and fundamental material was evaluated by using microscopic control. Based on evaluation tests, the optimal welding parameters were recommended.

Constant Voltage Hot-Wire Anemometry for the Boundary Layer Data System

To continue the development of the Boundary Layer Data System (BLDS), a constant voltage hot-wire anemometer (CVA) is implemented into the BLDS for flight-testing. The hot-wire anemometer was chosen as an alternative to the traditional pressure probe because of the ability to measure both average velocity and fluctuating velocity within the boundary layer. Previous work done on the benchtop has led to the design of miniaturization, flight-capable hardware for the BLDS. The next step in the development of the BLDS – CVA calls for quantifying the accuracy of the boundary layer measurements measured by the CVA system. To do this, numerous turbulent boundary layer velocity and fluctuating velocity profiles were taken on a flat-plate at various speeds within the Cal Poly 2x2 wind tunnel with both the traditional pressure probe and the CVA. These test resulted showed agreement between the hot-wire and pressure probe data. Once this was completed the new CVA hardware was tested along with the new software that was written for the BLDS – CVA. In addition, due to the limited memory space onboard the BLDS – CVA, an approximation had to be developed to convert the average voltage data from the BLDS – CVA to the average velocity data due to the non-linear calibration function. The approximation developed was able to match the exact values from a traditional calibration. Lastly, due to the inability to perform a laboratory calibration of the hot-wire at altitude, where the conditions differ significantly from the ground conditions, a new procedure for hot-wire calibration was developed. The method developed was validated through wind tunnel testing and a computer thermal/electric model. With the completion of this work, the BLDS – CVA is ready for flight-testing.

This thesis deals with the history of a method of plants cultivation without original substrate. The method is hydroponics and its subsequent development is called aeroponics. This work outlines the design of the whole aeroponic system including a control unit. The control unit has been designed to control the injection of nutrient solution, which is essential to the life of plants.Further, the control unit performs the control of lighting period, temperature, air flow and also regulation of nutrient solution pH. The control unit also keeps records of all data necessary for the monitoring process and for the evaluation of time differencies in the system.

The topic of this diploma thesis is an analysis of a process of deformation measure-ments performed during bridge structure load tests and their following evaluation. The aim of this thesis is to describe commonly used methods of measurement, their principles and difficulties, and to find ways of usage in modern methods. The main point of the thesis is to solve the problematic of suspension wire – to find through laboratory measurement suit-able alternatives to so far most commonly used steel wire. The first part of the thesis is focused on theoretical hypotheses for load testing of bridge structures and is based on the ČSN 73 6209 norm, including description of the measurement methods. The next part is focused on the evaluation of particular bridge load test and practical evaluation of the laboratory experiment.

Software implementovaný v rámci Fly-by-Wire systému firmy Honeywell je složen z mnoha modelů implementovaných v systému Simulink. Tato práce se zabývá hledáním přímých a nepřímých spojitostí mezi jednotlivými signály v systému těchto modelů. Jako vhodný aparát je zvolena teorie grafů. Na základě modelů jsou vygenerovány grafy a úloha nalézt spojitost mezi signály je převedena na úlohu nalézt cestu mezi dvěma vrcholy grafu. Známé algoritmy k vyhledávání cest v grafech určují délku nebo váhu nalezené cesty. Pro tuto aplikaci je ale potřeba rozlišovat cesty primární a sekundární bez ohledu na jejich délku. Proto jsou tyto známé algoritmy upraveny.

This work deals with silicon chip interconnection with a view to high current up to 10A. A wire bonding method is used for interconnection. The first part of investigation is focused on the modeling and simulation by the help of program ANSYS. Thermo mechanical stressing and current density is important parts of this research. Stress and current density distribution are results of the first part. The experimental part describes transition resistance, electro migration and thermal process in the connection of wire and chip pad. A controlled current source (0 – 10A) is used for measurement. The current source makes it possible to 4-point method measurement with sampling rate 1,5MHz.
