In the wake of the "modern football", that directly hit by globalization and commodification of cultural goods, we intend to identify certain processes and possible phenomena can affect the fan modus. One way is directly linked to the changes of space - whether macro or micro scale, the urban sports locus - propitiated and encouraged from major events. Thus we identify the entrance of the city of Rio de Janeiro in the "era of mega events," from the Pan-American games of 2007. Thus, the Maracana stadium - our physical clipping observation - has undergone significant structural changes over the years in every sporting mega event that housed. Since its opening in 1950, until now, on the eve of the Olympic Games, which was considered "world's largest" it is now a stadium with physical facilities "modern", comfortable and adapted to the standards of the International Football Federation (FIFA), deemed necessary for the spectacle of football. Thus, we seek to identify the representations that new and "old" fans make this new-old space. incontestable symbol of Brazilian football and monuments which are sometimes intertwined with the city that houses it. Therefore, in addition to a theoretical analysis that seeks to analyze the debate between the cities and mega events we try both the interviews and journalistic files our research field. The newspaper Jornal dos Sports has been verified to analyze how the construction of the Maracana stadium, formerly Municipal Stadium, occurred. As well as the whole debate around its construction. Interviewing fans we concluded and point out the nuances that these individuals and their associations cheerleaders face the constant insertion in modernized football. / O presente trabalho foi constru?do tendo a rela??o de torcedores de futebol no est?dio do Maracan? como ponto principal. Na esteira do chamado ?futebol moderno?, aquele atingido diretamente pelos processos de globaliza??o e mercantiliza??o dos bens culturais, pretendemos identificar determinados processos e poss?veis fen?menos capazes de afetar o modus torcedor. Uma das maneiras est? diretamente ligada ?s modifica??es do espa?o ? seja em escala macro ou micro, do urbano ao l?cus esportivo ? propiciadas e incentivadas a partir dos grandes eventos. Dessa maneira identificamos a entrada da cidade do Rio de Janeiro na ?era dos grandes eventos?, a partir do Pan-Americano de 2007. Sendo assim, o est?dio do Maracan? ? nosso recorte f?sico de observa??o ? passou por consider?veis modifica??es estruturais ao longo dos anos, em cada megaevento esportivo que abrigara. Desde sua inaugura??o no ano de 1950, at? o presente momento, ?s v?speras dos Jogos Ol?mpicos, o que foi considerado ?maior do mundo? ? hoje um est?dio com instala??es f?sicas ?modernas?, confort?veis e adaptadas aos padr?es da Federa??o Internacional de Futebol (FIFA), considerados necess?rios para o espet?culo do futebol. Dessa maneira, procuramos identificar as representa??es que novos e ?velhos? torcedores fazem desse novo-velho espa?o. S?mbolo incontest?vel do futebol brasileiro e monumento que por vezes se confunde com a pr?pria cidade que o abriga. Para tanto, al?m de uma an?lise te?rica que procura analisar o debate entre as cidades e os megaeventos procuramos fazer tanto das entrevistas quanto dos arquivos jornal?sticos nosso campo de pesquisa. O peri?dico carioca Jornal dos Sports foi verificado para analisarmos como a constru??o do est?dio do Maracan?, outrora Est?dio Municipal, ocorreu. Bem como todo o debate em torno de sua constru??o. Entrevistando os torcedores pudemos concluir e apontar as nuances que esses indiv?duos e suas agremia??es torcedoras enfrentam na constante inser??o no futebol modernizado.

Para os prop?sitos desta disserta??o, interessa apreender os torcedores como indiv?duos, numa rela??o de interdepend?ncia com o coletivo (torcida), para quem o futebol transcende a partida em si para tornar-se uma pr?tica que, mantendo v?nculos com o universo futebol?stico, apresenta impacto em diversos aspectos da vida cotidiana. A nossa reflex?o parte do pressuposto de que o universo simb?lico do futebol supera largamente os fatos sociais ocorridos nos est?dios. Sendo assim, os aportes te?ricos de an?lise utilizados foram o conceito de jogo (CAILLOIS, 2001; HUIZINGA, 2005) como elemento cultural de natureza simb?lica que se reveste de fundamental import?ncia para as rela??es sociais a partir de pr?ticas cotidianas como um modo de a??o do indiv?duo, embora seja utilizado o conceito de esporte para tratar do futebol, e as no??es de fascina??o (GUMBRECHT, 2007), pertencimento e imagens simb?licas, como caracter?sticas elementares do processo de constru??o social dos torcedores. Sendo o objetivo principal de a pesquisa investigar como se constr?i socialmente os torcedores do clube de futebol ABC F.C. de Natal/RN na atualidade, o recurso metodol?gico adotado foi uma descri??o anal?tica dos diversos tipos de torcedores Abecedistas, consistindo na realiza??o de entrevistas semiestruturadas, aplica??o de question?rios on line e pela observa??o participante em algumas partidas do ABC F.C. no est?dio, no r?dio e na TV entre os anos de 2014 e 2015. Por fim, consideramos como resultados, que o poss?vel surgimento hist?rico-social do torcedor de futebol aliado ? singularidade do indiv?duo que torce atualmente, verificado na realidade emp?rica dos Abecedistas, aponta para uma necessidade l?dica cotidiana do torcer no futebol, numa perspectiva de ressignifica??o da tipologia dos torcedores afetada pela m?dia (SILVERSTONE, 2011). / Football is a social phenomenon that covers itself of considerable importance in contemporary societies because of its spectacular manifestation by the media as well as its popularity in large scale. For purposes of this dissertation, we are interested in learn fans as individuals in an interdependente relationship with the collective the crowd for whom football transcends the game itself to become a practice, which by keeping links with the football universe, presents impacts in many aspects of everyday life. Our reflection assumes that the symbolic universe of football greatly exceeds the social events occurred in stadiums. Thus, one of the theoretical contributions of analysis used were the concept of game (CAILLOIS, 2001; HUIZINGA, 2005) as a cultural element of symbolic nature that covers itself of fundamental importance for social relations based on everyday practices as an individual action mode. However, it is also used the concept of sports to address football, the fascination notions (GUMBRECHT, 2007), belongings, and symbolic images as basic characteristics of the process of social construction of fans. As the main objective of the research is to investigate how the fans of ABC Football Club from Natal, RN are built nowadays, the methodological approach adopted was an analytical description of the many types of ABC fans by conducting semi-structured interviews, applying online questionnaires and observing some matches at the stadium, on radio, and on TV during the years of 2014 and 2015. In conclusion, we consider as results the possible social and historical emergence of the football fan combined with the uniqueness of the individual who currently supports verified in empirical reality of ABC fans that points to a ludic need for everyday support in football, a reframing perspective of the typology of the fans affected by the media (SILVERSTONE, 2011).
