Nejistota na Finančních Trzích v USA a její Přelévání na Evropské Akciové Trhy / The US Financial Market Uncertainty and Its Spillover to European Stock Markets

Karolík, Richard January 2021 (has links)
This thesis studies the spillover of the financial market uncertainty arising from the United States to three major European stock markets by analyzing the impulse response functions that were estimated using the local projections method. European stock markets are represented by their corresponding in- dices: the DAX 30 index for Germany, the CAC 40 for France, and the FTSE 100 for the United Kingdom. The results prove the existence of uncertainty spillover from the United States into Europe with the negative relationship be- tween the performance of a particular stock market and the uncertainty shock emerging from the US. Additional analysis examines the response to uncer- tainty shock for the two subsamples based on the Lehman Brothers collapse. The results show a possible interesting improvement in the ability to recover from uncertainty shock since the collapse of Lehman Brothers and can serve as a starting point for the further analyses in the field. Pokorná, Kateřina January 2011 (has links)
The Employment of the Czech citizens in other member states of the European Union The basic aim of my thesis is to analyze possibilities of Czech citizens seeking job in other member states of European Union. The enlargement of EU in 2004 and 2007 opened borders to labour markets of the old EU countries for citizens of new member states. Czech citizens are able to search for a job in most of the states of EU except of Germany and Austria. In my work I concentrate especially on research of United Kingdom. It is a country that opened the labour market for Czech citizens the day our accession to European Union. My thesis is divided into seven chapters. In the first three chapters I analyze the right of free movement of persons, workers and right of settlement. I concentrate on the development from the historical point of view. I also mention the European legislation related to the free movement right. The fourth chapter explains the migration, and the potential of Czech migrant workers. I also describe the reasons for Czech foreign migration. In the fifth chapter I focus on the employment of Czech citizens in other member states in general. I explain where Czechs are able to work and in which circumstances. In the sixth chapter I would like to explain all the possibilities, restrictions, rights and...

Burza cenných papírů / The Stock Exchange

Schicková, Pavla January 2011 (has links)
1 ABSTRACT Stock Exchange The contents of the notion "stock exchange" change in time. Factors inducing these changes are intertwined and influence each other. The introduction of modern telecommunication technologies in 1980s brought about a process of change in the notion of "stock exchange". This factor mainly influenced the territorial aspect of said notion. Modern communication technologies allowed for integration of capital markets within Europe. This integration required unification of legislation in EU Member States. The crucial piece of Czech legislation implementing European norms in the area of stock exchange markets is the Act No. 256/2004 Coll. on Business on Capital Market. The greatest influence on the notion of "stock exchange" has had the transposition of the EU MiFID directive into that act in 2008. The changes introduced by this directive have led to vacating tne notion of "stock exchange" in legal terms with the term itself being replaced by "operator of the regulated market". Over the past decade the supervision and regulation on both European and national levels have undergone substantial changes. The changes and innovation in the investment instruments market have called for changes in institutional setting of supervision and regulation. These changes in supervision and regulation have...

Právní aspekty paralelního obchodu s léčivy v EU / Legal aspects of a parallel trade in drugs within the EU

Bečvářová, Tereza January 2014 (has links)
5.Abstract Title: Legal aspects of a parallel trade in drugs within the EU Key words: single market, parallel trade, price regulation, pharmaceuticals Parallel trade is one of the most distinctive benefits of the European single market. In a simplified way, parallel trade is legal importing of drug from one country where it is legally marketed into a second country where the marketing authorization holder also markets that product, but without the consent of the marketing authorization holder. Price regulation of medical products makes parallel trade of drugs questionable. Final price for customer is not result of an independent decision of pharmaceutical company but it is given by relevant authority often regarding the spending power of citizens. Wholesalers are taking advantage of these price differences when they are buying cheap drugs in low-price countries and selling them with profit in countries where drug price are higher. In theory this practice should deliver significant saving for patient and national healthcare insurance system in destination countries due to lower price of parallel traded drugs. However many studies show minimum impact on drug price in these countries since wholesalers retain great part of the financial benefits. On the other hand, negatives of parallel trade are evident. Drug...

Západní hudba v Československu v období normalizace / Western Music in the Post-1968 Czechoslovakia

Havlík, Adam January 2012 (has links)
This paper addresses the peculiar topic of western music in post 1968 Czechoslovakia with emphasis on the official music scene. It shows how western music was actually treated in Czechoslovakian society and how the image of western music was shaped within the public discourse , including many significant ambiguities. It also follows various ways (legal and also illegal) in which ordinary people used to obtain foreign music records in the era of late socialism. An analysis of actual impact of western music on Czechoslovak popular music and the role of institutions within that is also present. This paper could thus be considered as a modest contribution to the social and cultural history of socialist dictatorships.
