A atividade turística vem se destacando ao longo dos anos não apenas como fator de desenvolvimento econômico, mas também como agente no ato de rememorar e na preservação dos patrimônios históricos e culturais de diferentes lugares. Luziânia, por ser uma das cidades mais antigas do planalto central, com 266 anos, carece de estudos acerca do modo como o seu patrimônio histórico-cultural, tangível e intangível, atua e/ou pode atuar no desenvolvimento do potencial turístico do Município. Portanto o objetivo do estudo em tela é avaliar como a cultura e as festas religiosas de Luziânia podem ser importantes na preservação e divulgação dos patrimônios histórico-culturais da cidade, além da influência que estas festas possuem no desenvolvimento do turismo local. ________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / The preservation of tangible and intangible is crucial to understand the cultural, social and political history, of a specific location. Tourist activity has been highlighted over the years not only as a factor of economic development, but also as a way of remembering and preserving the historical and cultural heritage of different places. Luziânia, as one of the oldest cities in the central plateau, at 266 years would benefit from studies about how their historical-cultural, tangible and intangible, act and / or could act in the development of the potential tourism of the city. Therefore, the purpose of the study is to evaluate the culture and religious traditions of Luziânia, and it may be important in the process of preservation and dissemination of historical and cultural heritage of the city, besides the influence that these traditions have in the development of local tourism.
