Mackenzie, Donald, Fielding, Richard 10 1900 (has links)
International Telemetering Conference Proceedings / October 17-20, 1994 / Town & Country Hotel and Conference Center, San Diego, California / The Royal Artillery Range (RA Range) is the British Army's weapons practice range in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. The large sea range is also used by the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy for new weapons system evaluation and in service practice firing. This paper describes the telemetry facility comprising of two prime sites separated by 40 miles of open sea. Tracking antennas and receivers are at the remote island site of St Kilda with data processing and control at the Range Control Base (RCB), Benbecula. To improve operational capabilities and effectiveness, full remote control and monitoring of the multiple receivers and combiners has been installed. Radar tracking outputs are processed in the telemetry computer to produce individual antenna pointing demands.

Vlastnictví bytu a nebytových prostor v souvislosti se zákonem č. 72/1994 Sb. / Ownership of flats and non-residential premises in relation with Act No. 72/1994 Sb.

Holejšovská, Kateřina January 2011 (has links)
I dedicated my thesis to the matters of flat ownership in Czech Republic. I chose the topic not only because it is my area of interest, but also because it is an acute problem, which impacts more than 1.5 million of Czech citizens. During the 17-year existence of the legislation and despite 13 amendments of the legislation, its application is often unclear. In my opinion, the legislation lacks sufficient regulations of the following: the establishment of a unit owners association, ensuring a proper management of unit owners association executive organs. In addition, some institutes have not been legislated but only regulated by secondary legislation - a Model Article - that however does not have to be adhered to by a unit owners association. In many cases, vague regulations or issues that have not been legislated, had to be resolved by judgment. First chapter provides an overview of the subject and the scope of the Flat Ownership Act (Act) and its concept and correlation with other acts, particularly the Civil Code. The second chapter discusses various types of establishment of flat ownership. The third chapter discusses various types of abolishment of flat ownership, including expropriation. The fourth chapter is dedicated to the amendment of the Act and acquisition of legal personality, that is...

Společenství vlastníků jednotek jako subjekt práva / Unit owners association as a subject of law

Navrátilová, Hana January 2013 (has links)
Unit Owners Association as a Subject of Law Objective of my thesis is to describe development of legal regulation of the Unit Owners Association, to analyse the current legal regulation of the Unit Owners Association in the Act No. 72/1994 Coll., on apartment ownership and to compare the current legal regulation with latest legal regulation in the new Civil Code. This topic is very live, because the issue of apartment ownership concerns more and more residents. The unit owner is also co-owner of common parts of a building. The Unit Owners Association is a legal entity determined for administration of common parts of the building. The thesis is composed of four chapters. Chapter One describes development of the legal regulation of the Unit Owners Association in the Act No. 72/1994 Coll., on apartment ownership, which was amended several times. Chapter Two analyses the current legal regulation of the Unit Owners Association mainly from the point of view of its legal capacity and internal arrangement. Legal capacity of the Unit Owners Association is restricted, because this legal entity is legally competent to execute rights and to commit itself only in the cases related to administration, operation and repairs of common parts of a building. This chapter consists of six parts which focused on formation of the...

The perceptions of different generations of nursing unit managers on unit directing in a public hospital in Namibia

Nyamupfukudza, Kudzai January 2018 (has links)
Magister Curationis - MCur / Nursing unit managers from different generations of nurses are expected to manage their units effectively, in order to achieve the healthcare goals for their clients. Directing a unit can be affected by the generational differences among nursing unit managers. It has been stated that generational differences are associated with different perceptions on directing a nursing unit. However, in Namibia, no similar evidence exists to support this theory; therefore, a contextual understanding of the nursing unit managers’ perceptions was necessary to inform future measures of improving the management of a nursing unit. Aim: The purpose of this study was to understand and explore the perceptions of nursing unit managers, from different generation cohorts, on directing a unit. Methods: An exploratory - descriptive qualitative research approach was employed. The data were collected from ten participants, using semi-structured interviews. The data analysis was done through thematic content analysis. Results The nursing unit managers had positive perceptions about their role of directing a nursing unit. The managers’ perceptions of communication, motivation, coaching, and leadership were similar. The differences in the managers’ perceptions were not directly related to generational differences between the nursing unit managers. In general, the nursing unit managers valued communication, and considered it the most significant skill required in directing a nursing unit. Discussion: Nursing unit managers from different generation cohorts view their role of directing a unit positively, and share similar perceptions, regardless of the differences in their generations. The little differences noted were not directly related to the nursing unit managers’ generations. Therefore, nursing unit managers need to be well skilled in communication, motivation, coaching, and leadership, to manage a nursing unit/ward.
