No ano de 2005, a Universidade Católica de Pelotas deu por encerrado o projeto denominado Ecomunitarismo, desenvolvido junto à Comunidade Ceval, a qual vivia, à época, às margens do Canal Santa Bárbara em condição de lumpesinato. Nosso problema de tese consistia em saber como se comportou a comunidade Ceval no período compreendido entre os anos de 2006 e 2011, no que tange à maneira de como foi capaz de se articular para concretizar suas necessidades comunitárias. Partimos da hipótese de que a Comunidade Ceval conseguiu manter-se unida, lutando por seus interesses comunitários e praticando alguns preceitos do ecomunitarismo, mesmo que empiricamente. Este trabalho de tese objetivou, assim, investigar a realidade desta comunidade, seu desenvolvimento social e humano à luz do ecomunitarismo, no referido período, ou seja, após o encerramento do projeto Ecomunitário da UCPel. A metodologia utilizada partiu da construção de uma base teórica referente ao Ecomunitarismo, na qual estão expostas suas três normas da ética. Verificamos, a partir dessa base teórica, as ações realizadas pela Comunidade Ceval, constatando, por conseguinte, quais as atuais condições de infraestrutura e condições sociais da mesma. Para levantamento dos dados, foram realizadas entrevistas – a partir de um questionário previamente elaborado – com seis pessoas, todas moradoras da comunidade, sendo elas: dois líderes comunitários, duas trabalhadoras da Cooperativa Ceval e duas donas de casa. As entrevistas foram realizadas no ano de 2011. Verificamos, após a investigação, que a comunidade Ceval conseguiu, apesar das dificuldades enfrentadas, obter conquistas importantes ao longo do período estudado, como moradias, água, luz e esgoto. Conseguiram, também, a construção de seu centro comunitário e a concretização de sua cooperativa de reciclagem. Concluímos, dessa forma, que mesmo diante das vicissitudes, a comunidade conseguiu manter-se unida e lutando por seus interesses. Constatamos, outrossim, que a UCPel encerrou precocemente seu projeto, pois a comunidade ainda não estava pronta para sua caminhada solo. A falta do aporte teórico da Educação Ambiental Ecomunitária, que se fazia a tônica do projeto da UCPel, impediu que a comunidade conseguisse desenvolver a prática consciente das três normas da ética, base do ecomunitarismo – tendo tal prática sido encontrada apenas empírica e embrionariamente na cooperativa de reciclagem –, e, consequentemente, da ordem socioambiental ecomunitária, perfeitamente descrita em UCRONIA de Velasco. / This thesis had finally analyze the social and infrastructural Community Ceval in Pelotas / RS, in the light of ecomunitária theory, proposed by Velasco. In 2005, the Catholic University of Pelotas closed the project called Ecomunitarismo, developed by the Community Ceval, which lived at the time the banks of the Santa Barbara Channel in lumpesinato condition. Our thesis problem was in how the community Ceval behaved in the period between the years 2006 and 2011, regarding the manner of how he was able to articulate their community needs to realize. Assuming that the Community Ceval managed to remain united, fighting for their community interests and practicing some of the precepts ecomunitarismo, even empirically. This thesis work aimed therefore to investigate the reality of this community, its social and human development in the light of ecomunitarismo, in that period, after the closure of the project Ecomunitário UCPel. The methodology used was based on the construction of a theoretical basis for the Ecomunitarismo, which are exposed in their three standards of ethics. We note, from this theoretical basis, the actions taken by the Community Ceval, noting therefore that the present conditions of infrastructure and social conditions of the same. For data collection, interviews were conducted - from a previously prepared questionnaire - with six people, all living in the community, namely: two community leaders, the Cooperative Ceval two workers and two housewives. Interviews were conducted in 2011. We found, after investigation, that the community could Ceval, despite the difficulties, obtaining important achievements over the period studied, such as housing, water, electricity and sewage. Also able to build their community center and the achievement of their recycling cooperative. We conclude, therefore, that even before the events, the community has managed to remain united and fight for their interests. We note, moreover, that ended early UCPel your project, because the community was not ready to soil your walk. Os objetivos específicos visam analisar a construção discursiva das personagens, a fim de compreender o processo de criação literária como uma estratégia de resistência cultural, e investigar fontes históricas a partir de relatos de viajantes, para dialogar com os processos de compilação do tempo histórico cunhados na narrativa, cujo intertexto se torna claro ao longo do enredo. Quanto ao método, o campo do conhecimento humano centra-se em estudos literários e históricos voltados aos estudos luso-africanos. Para tanto, buscam-se autores que trabalham com questões referentes ao engajamento literário e à influência do contexto de seu panorama histórico e político sobre sua produção estética. Particularizam-se recursos narrativos de anacronia, vertentes ideológicas oriundas da ucronia, como o sebastianismo, e o desenvolvimento filológico das palavras ficção, fato e fetiche. Além disso, abordam-se os conceitos de imagem que o Ocidente produz sobre o modo de pensar dos outros povos a partir relatos de viajantes e dos Estudos Culturais, uma vez que é na esfera coletiva que transitam a história e a memória de cada grupo cultural. / Pepetela is the codename of Artur Carlos Maurício Pestana dos Santos.
