A pesquisa mostra toda a polêmica que essa terapêutica tem criado em torno de si, mostrando detalhadamente os últimos 26 anos de lutas por sua legitimação, que culminaram na sua ‘implantação’ no serviço previdenciário do Estado. / This study is a historical account of the development of Homeopathy in this country. To set the stage for the above mentioned development, it was necessary to trace the origins of Homeopathy as a medical doctrine, its journey to become part of our culture, and the implications of this development. The study points out the controversy of this therapeutics, specially regarding its paradigm, viewing in more detail the events of the last 26 years of struggle for its legitimation, which resulted in the ‘implementation’ of Homeopathy as a State run social security benefit.
