The establishment of metropolitan areas is considered the identity of urbanization process. The context of verticality can be defined as the urban soil multiplication through the construction of several vertical pavements, which characterizes metropolis identity. When following on the Campinas urban development, you can observe the coexistence of several architectonics elements from different times, testimony of its diverse development phases. The Campinas verticality process starts on the modernity and industrialization wake up period under the implementation prospect of Plano de Melhoramentos Urbanos of Prestes Maia urbanist (1934 1964). This paper is constituted of a survey and study of the city s vertical typologies, projected during the first period of the verticality process (constructions code of 1934 validity), correlating them to the edifying legislation as well as the urbanistics events of that time, with the aim of following on the evolution of vertical buildings, by chronological sequence of municipality approvals, looking for establishing an organized framework of the process, from genesis to December of 1951, when occurred the approval of 640 Law. The purpose of this research was to produce a material that could help the comprehension of Campinas verticality, as well as its organization and, illustrate the history of significantly part of the city architectonic production, therefore, contributing to its memory. / O processo de urbaniza??o brasileiro se caracteriza pelo desenvolvimento acelerado de poucos centros e a metropoliza??o ? considerada a identidade deste processo. Nesse contexto a verticaliza??o, que pode ser definida como a multiplica??o do solo urbano a partir da constru??o vertical de muitos pavimentos, caracteriza-se por ser a identidade do processo de metropoliza??o. Ao se acompanhar o desenvolvimento urbano de Campinas, observa-se a coexist?ncia de diferentes elementos arquitet?nicos de diferentes ?pocas, testemunho das diversas fases de seu desenvolvimento. O processo de verticaliza??o campineiro inicia-se no per?odo do despertar da modernidade e da industrializa??o sob o panorama da implementa??o do Plano de Melhoramentos Urbanos do urbanista Prestes Maia (1934 1964). Neste trabalho foi realizado o levantamento e estudo de todas as tipologias verticais da cidade, projetadas durante o primeiro per?odo do processo de verticaliza??o (vig?ncia do c?digo de constru??es de 1934), correlacionando-as ? legisla??o edificante, bem como aos eventos urban?sticos da ?poca, com a finalidade de acompanhar a evolu??o dos edif?cios verticais, em seq??ncia cronol?gica de aprova??o pela municipalidade, buscando estabelecer um quadro organizado do processo, da g?nese at? dezembro de 1951, quando ocorreu a aprova??o da Lei 640. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi a produ??o de material que possa auxiliar a compreens?o da verticaliza??o campineira, bem como de sua organiza??o, ilustrando o hist?rico de parte significativa da produ??o arquitet?nica da cidade, e, portanto, da sua mem?ria.

The research developed through this study has this central theme on vertical grounding of the construction in the neighborhood of ponta negra in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte. Realizing this momentum as a way of accumulation of capital in city. Rio Grande do Norte?s city. During the 2000 s , the neighborhood of Ponta Negra went through an intense process of vertical integration of its ground, Provided by many factor of conditions created from new economic, political and social functions which start to be outlined mainly from the tourism development in this neighborhood since the 80?s decade. The Tourism development and the landing planning of the ponta negra?s neighborhood promoted for the government by using order to police the city?s urbanization, beyond the sense of the civilian building actors. They enabled this neighborhood to become propitious to the real estate investments. Many ventures were built before the year of 2010 while another are on building, which, over the years, changed the sociospatyal dinamics of the neighborhood. Considering the urban space is socially built, product and condition for the reproductive process of the capitalist society, the goal of this research is to investigate the verticalization of the ground, for capital reproduction purposes. This research aims to analyze the vertical this quarter through the theory of social production of space by Henri Lefebvre. The Methodology adopted pervades for secondary and primary research, compound for bibliographic research, documentary, journal, magazines, camp research and interview, to reach the best way to analyse the dynamics of the refered neighborhood / Este trabalho consiste na disserta??o de mestrado, vinculado ao Programa de P?s-gradua??o em Geografia (PPGE) da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). A pesquisa desenvolvida tem como tema central a verticaliza??o do solo do bairro Ponta Negra, Natal, RN, percebendo essa din?mica como forma de reprodu??o do capital na cidade. No decorrer da d?cada de 2000, o bairro de Ponta Negra, passou por um intenso processo de verticaliza??o do seu solo, proporcionado por um conjunto de condi??es criadas a partir de novas fun??es econ?micas, sociais e pol?ticas que come?aram a ser delineadas a partir, principalmente, do desenvolvimento do turismo nesse bairro desde a d?cada de 1980. O desenvolvimento da atividade tur?stica e o ordenamento territorial do bairro Ponta Negra promovido atrav?s do Estado com suas pol?ticas de legisla??o e ordenamento da cidade, al?m da percep??o dos agentes ligados ? constru??o civil, possibilitaram que o bairro se tornasse uma ?rea prop?cia aos investimentos na sua verticaliza??o e alvo da especula??o imobili?ria. We tried to analyze this work, the spatial transformations in the Ribeira district, Natal / RN, due to the advancement of the housing market that is gradually transforming the landscape with the introduction of new types of housing, especially by verticalization. The verticalization of the neighborhood occurs almost at once, changing the local landscape. Notwithstanding this process, given the rapid growth of Natal in the last two decades and the strategic location of the neighborhood, it is pertinent to note that, if not the process of vertical integration, perhaps the neighborhood had been at the mercy of other urban interventions and other approach the real estate market. The research used as instruments interviews with actors who work in the property market in the town and representatives of organizations that have implemented major legislation in the area, the Instituto de Patrim?nio Hist?rico e Art?stico Nacional (IPHAN) and the Secretaria de Meio Ambiente e Urbanismo (SEMURB) as well as photographs on the area, in order to verify this new configuration that has been consolidated in the district. To support the theoretical discussion, there was a documentary and bibliographical research. In this way, the object of study of this search sees the uniqueness of urban renewal in the district of Ribeira and its relationship with the historic preservation laws and incentives for residential occupation in the neighborhood, especially regarding the vertical building / A din?mica imobili?ria origina novas formas espaciais, que podem determinar os novos usos dos lugares. Buscou-se analisar, nesse trabalho, as transforma??es espaciais no bairro da Ribeira, Natal/RN, devido ao avan?o do mercado imobili?rio que vem transformando gradativamente a paisagem com a inser??o de novas tipologias de moradias, principalmente as verticais. A verticaliza??o do bairro favorecida por uma legisla??o, n?o apenas permissiva, mas indutiva ocorre quase que de uma s? vez, alterando sobremaneira a paisagem local. N?o obstante esse processo, dado o r?pido crescimento da cidade de Natal nas ?ltimas duas d?cadas e a localiza??o estrat?gica do bairro, ? pertinente observar que, se n?o fosse o processo de verticaliza??o, talvez o bairro tivesse ficado ? merc? de outras interven??es urban?sticas e de outro tipo de abordagem do mercado imobili?rio. A pesquisa utilizou como procedimentos metodol?gicos entrevistas com atores do mercado imobili?rio que atuam na localidade e com representantes dos ?rg?os que implementaram as principais legisla??es na ?rea: o Instituto de Patrim?nio Hist?rico e Arquitet?nico Nacional (IPHAN) e a Secretaria de Meio Ambiente e Urbanismo (SEMURB), al?m de registros fotogr?ficos no local, com o intuito de verificar essa nova configura??o que vem se consolidando no bairro.
