O centro do argumento consistiu em mostrar que os elementos que impulsionaram a fundação e urbanização de um novo núcleo urbano estão relacionados à implantação dos trilhos da Estrada de Ferro Bahia and São Francisco e ao desenvolvimento das atividades mercantis ocasionadas principalmente pela presença dos imigrantes estrangeiros. O espaço materializado pela ação humana sobre a natureza, as transformações urbanísticas, econômico-social e as práticas de sociabilidade, festas, comportamento e hábitos, compõem a análise da pesquisa. The work presented examines the formation and development of the city of Alagoinhas occurred in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The center of the argument was to show that the factors that drove the founding of a new urbanization and urban core are related to the implementation of the rails of the railroad Bahia and San Francisco and the development of commercial activities occasioned mainly by the presence of foreign immigrants. The space embodied by human action on nature, urban transformations, economic, and social practices of sociability, parties, and habits make up the research analysis. / Salvador
