No. of bitstreams: 1 arquivototal.pdf: 3540312 bytes, checksum: d206c987e97895cf96311b26e396067a (MD5) Previous issue date: 2017-09-30 / This study aims to analyze, within a sociocultural perspective the fight to homophobia through the internet, having as main object of study the social networks of the current fed-eral congressman Jean Wyllys de Matos Santos, trying to understand and explain the im-portance of the web as a reverberation device and an extension of the "real" world. As part of the research corpus it will be used posts on the official facebook of the congressman Jean Wyllys (PSOL-RJ) in the light of laws and principles of the Federal Constitution of Brazil and international treaties such as the American Convention on Human Rights and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The goal is to locate the principles of equality and human dignity, which refer directly or by reference, the right to sexual orientation free-dom and equality. The corpus of the research will focus on finding messages that promote respect for human rights and social relations. Through the search and the use of the on-line media to promote re-education and social respect, this present study aims to explain how the posts are showcase of a social movement that uses the cyberspace as an echo experience of the "real world", spreading the fight against homophobic acts in Brazil. For this purpose, it will necessary characterize homophobia on the web, ie, hate speech to the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender community. The motivation to put the congress-man as the object of analysis comes from the following reasons: Jean is the first openly gay congressman in Brazil. Ever since his campaign proposals, through his first term in the year of 2010, or the law bills produced or co-produced by him, Jean has always put him-self as the frontman of sexual equality and orientation freedom. His activism, in and out-side the web, has made him the target of much criticism and controversy in his personal and public life. Self-entitled as "progressive", Jean brings to national agenda issues con-sidered taboo in Brazilian society, such as homoaffective marriage, homoparental family, marijuana legalization and abortion, among others. Due to time constraints, the time frame will take into account the last two years (2014-2015 biennium). The theoretical basis that will substantiate this research are the Queer Theory and epistemological poststructuralist concepts, based on authors such as Butler and Foucault. To explain the internet as a so-cial phenomenon and the changes that this advent brought to society, it‘s been used the sociologist Pierre Lévy and Manuel Castells. The content analysis of the posts brings theo-retical basis of Bourdieu and Orlandi. This study work also includes literature review of worldly known authors such as the experts Antonio Cançado Trindade, Oscar Vilhena, José Augusto Lindgren, Flavia Piovesan, Rosa Maria Godoy, Daniel Sarmento, among others. / O presente trabalho tem por objetivo analisar, dentro de uma perspectiva sociocultural, o combate à homofobia através da internet, tendo como objeto de estudo as redes sociais do atual Deputado Federal, Jean Wyllys de Matos Santos, tentando entender e explicar a importância da web como dispositivo de reverberação e extensão do mundo ―real‖. Como fontes serão utilizadas postagens no facebook oficial do Deputado Federal pelo PSOL-RJ, Jean Wyllys de Matos Santos relativos ao combate à homofobia, à luz de leis e princípios da Constituição Federal do Brasil e tratados internacionais, como a Convenção Interamericana de Direitos Humanos e a Declaração Universal de Direitos Humanos. O objetivo é localizar princípios da isonomia e da dignidade humana, que se refiram, diretamente ou por alusão, ao direito de exerício da orientação sexual de forma livre e igualitária. O corpus da pesquisa terá foco em localizar mensagens que promovam o respeito aos direitos humanos e nas relações sociais. Através da busca da utilização do meio on-line para promover reeducação e respeito social, o trabalho objetiva explicar como os posts são vitrine do movimento que utilizar o ciberespaço como um eco da vivência do ―real‖, propagando a luta contra atos homofóbicos no Brasil. Para isso, também será necessário caracterizar a homofobia na web, isto é, o discurso do ódio aos Gays, Lésbicas, Bissexuais e Transgêneros. O motivo de se colocar o deputado como objeto de análise advém dos seguintes motivos: Jean é o primeiro congressista assumidamente gay no Brasil. Desde as suas propostas de campanha, passando pelo seu primeiro mandato, em 2010, e os projetos de leis idealizados ou co-produzidos pelo deputado, Jean sempre colocou como front a bandeira da igualdade e a liberdade pela orientação sexual. Seu ativismo, dentro e fora da web, fez o deputado alvo de muitas críticas e polêmicas em sua vida pessoal e pública. Autointitulado como ―progressista‖, Jean traz à pauta assuntos considerados tabus na sociedade brasileira, tais como o casamento homoafetivo, família homoparental, legalização da maconha e do aborto, dentre outros. Por limitações de tempo, o recorte temporal levará em consideração os dois últimos anos (biênio 2014-2015). As bases teóricas que fundamentarão a pesquisa são a teoria queer e conceitos epistemológicos pós-estruturalista, embasados por autores como Butler e Foulcault. Para explicar a internet como um fênomeno social e as mudanças que esse advento trouxe à sociedade, recorreu-se ao sociólogo Pierre Lévy e Manuel Castells. A análise do conteúdo das postagens traz bases teóricas de Bourdieu e Orlandi. O trabalho também conta com revisão bibliográfica de autores renomados no que tange a área dos direitos humanos, a exemplos dos especialistas Antônio Cançado Trindade, Oscar Vilhena, José Augusto Lindgren, Flávia Piovesan, Rosa Maria Godoy, Daniel Sarmento, entre outros.
