The subject of this thesis is resilience of children from alcoholic families, with an emphasis on relational resilience. The theoretical part deals with systemic view of the family, alcoholism as a family illness and difficulties of children, resp. adolescents from such families. The subsequent chapter studies the theme of resilience, protective factors with regard to social ties, and proceeds with relational resilience, applied in the empirical part. The final part of the thesis is dedicated to health in the context of subjectively perceived life satisfaction. The empirical part, based on qualitative research, consists of methods: documents analysis, work with timeline, family map, semi-structured interview, SEIQoL questionnaire. The sample consists of adolescents from alcoholic families, attending a therapeutic program, selected by CAST questionnaire. The obtained data are analyzed for occurrence of relational resilience within each respondent, composed into case studies. Results of the study show that all respondents reported incidence of all items of relational resilience. The first and most frequently mentioned person in relation to the items was female therapist of the program; the most common community is the therapeutic group. Diplomová práce "Jak se žije dospělým dětem alkoholiků" se zabývá problematikou dospělých, kteří mají zkušenost dětství prožitého v rodině s rodičem-alkoholikem. Jedná se o kvalitativní studii, jejímž cílem je dopovědět na následující otázky: Jak vlastně vypadá dětství, dospívání a následně dospělý život lidí, kteří mají za sebou zkušenost dítěte alkoholika? Jak vypadá takové rodinné prostředí? Existují nějaká témata společná těm, kteří vyrůstali v takovém prostředí? Teoretická část obsahuje dosavadní poznatky studií, které se tématem dospělých dětí alkoholiků zabývají. Popisuje charakteristiky jak rodinného prostředí, tak způsoby uvažování a prožívání dospělých dětí alkoholiků. Metodologická část obsahuje definici výzkumného problému, metody získávání vzorku (samovýběr), metodu získávání dat (nestrukturované interview) a způsob jejich zpracování (narativní analýza, metody zachycení vzorců). Analytická část obsahuje samotné zpracování dat pěti respondentů. Jednotlivé příběhy nahlíženy jako určité životní konfigurace. Následně je uvedeno 28 témat, která jsou v různé míře respondentům výzkumu společná.

The submitted diploma thesis is called: Rehabilitation of a family endangered by transgenerational transmission of alcohol addiction. Alcohol addiction in the family is a very current topic, as it can have a significant impact on future generations of children who grew up with an alcohol addicted parent. The theoretical part deals with the issue of alcohol addiction and its impact on family functioning, psychological and social development of children and their functioning in adulthood. It also examines the causes and manifestations of transgenerational transmission of alcohol addiction in the family, including how to prevent the risk of alcohol addiction in future generations. The aim of the empirical part is to answer the main research question through interviews: What is the personal experience of the current generation of offspring of alcohol addicted parents in creating their own family and how can the family prevent the risk of transgenerational transmission of alcohol addiction to the next generation of offspring? From the research survey, we found that children who grew up in an alcoholic environment are affected to various degrees in adult life in all areas, because they have not experienced healthy parenting patterns in the family.
