Bhabha (2003) e Gayatry Spivak (2010). / This dissertation presents a panoramic study concerning the orality in African novel, particularly, in the book called Niketche: uma hist?ria de poligamia (2004), from Mozambican writer Paulina Chiziane, considered one of the first novelist from her country to publish in this genre. We investigated the form in which the narration embodies and articulates the three categories that features an important role to the sensitivity and the oral perception of the written text: the voice, the letter and the gesture. By the nature of the chosen corpus, such study permeated discussions about the role of the woman as a writer, weaving interpretations concerning the fictional, historic and cultural discourses about the women and associating the space of the artistic creation as a possible territory in which new forms of representation emerge concerning the feminine. The instruments that served as basis to our reflections are anchored in the postulates of the literary theory about the orality, such as the works of Paul Zumthor (2000) and Hampat?-B? (1980), as well as the cultural and post-colonial studies of Homi K. Bhabha (2003) and Gayatry Spivak (2010).

Therefore, we contextualize FRELIMO?s first years of formation and the beginning of the anti-colonialist fight which resulted on the establishment of the Frelimo?s government after the independence. After this stage, it was possible to understand the first steps of the project articulated by Frelimo as well as the importance of the creation of the Female Detachment, in 1967, and of the Mozambican Women Organization, in 1973, throughout the speech proffered during the I Mozambican Women Congress. The last analytic stage of the work consists in observing the ambiguities in the speeches proffered within the scope of the political and ideological project development during the Samora Mois?s Machel government. Hereupon, we problematize the differences found in the speeches, from 1973 and after 1976, that when reflecting upon the political situation in which they were proffered, validate the project supporting FRELIMO?s goals about feminine emancipation.

No. of bitstreams: 1 455754.pdf: 893669 bytes, checksum: bd2adfaf3363bf9cdd14e534251c086f (MD5) Previous issue date: 2014-01-07 / Search, in the narratives of three novels by the Mozambican writer Mia Couto , any references to boats, barges, ships, vessels, canoes (finally, water transport in general) and realize how the different symbologies and meanings that carry these elements relate to and enrich such narratives are the main objectives of this research. Thus , the literary texts that form the corpus of this study are Terra Son?mbula, O outro p? da sereia and A confiss?o da leoa each volume representing a decade of the author's production, since the books were published in 1992 ( his first novel ) , 2006 and 2012 , respectively. The theory of this work was grounded mainly in the works of Gilbert Durand, Gaston Bachelard, Carl Gustav Jung and Mircea Eliade, in regards to issues relating to the imaginary. However, it is also important to check those specific aspects about Mozambique, its culture, society and beliefs, as well as about the writer whose work is reviewed here, in order to discover how these characteristics may alter the imagery related to water transports within the literary texts in question . For this reason, the studies of Laura Padilla, Ana Mafalda Leite, Pires Laranjeira, Inoc?ncia Mata, among others, were selected.

Vivian, Ilse Maria da Rosa 30 April 2014 (has links)
Made available in DSpace on 2015-04-14T13:39:16Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 1 461224.pdf: 1145927 bytes, checksum: 0f09cda30a4705d2c4f7d36daa6a7a48 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2014-04-30 / This thesis was born from the desire to investigate the images of men and their ways of narrating themselves as a remedy to the insatiable thirst of identities, whose theme is the literary field, prime matter by the novelistic genre. The present study is a proposal to reading from the contemporary building strategies romance character. The fictional figure is focused here, as a phenomenon, conditioned by temporality inherent in the narrative setup process, highlights the constitutive nature of oneself, enabling the reader to formulate images of man being in full swing. Given the goals formulated by the thematic cross between character, identity and memory, were elected as corpus of work two novels of fiction of the post-colonial African Literatures, Sleepwalking Earth (1992) and A river called time, a house called land (2002), Mia Couto, whose narratives, possibly due to the historical, social and cultural conditions there is the common themes, that question now more acute than in other literary spaces, the formulation of identities. The constitution of the person who designs the narrative discourse in these works leads to the fictional figure approach as being-in-the-world, as Heidegger's concept that implies the existence of temporal experience by activity in the world. With the target of achieving recognition itself and thus encompass the meaning of life, oneself appears then, as a subjective dimension articulated by the difficulty to establish truth in our mind.
