Základní antropometrické charakteristiky běžců na 400m a 800m / Basic anthropometric characteristics of 400 m and 800 m runners

Praská, Vendulka January 2012 (has links)
Title: Basic anthropometric characteristics of 400 m and 800 m runers. Student: Bc. Vendulka Praská Supervisor: PaedDr. Jitka Vindušková, CSc. Objectives: The main objective of this dissertation is comparison of anthropometric characteristics of 400m and 800m runners. Another objective is analysis of relation between somatometric parameters and physical performance of 400m and 800m runners. Methods: In this thesis was used comparison method of athletes' body characteristics using graphs and correlations of anthropometric characteristics with physical performance. Results: We found, that average body height and weight of 400m run athletes is 1,84 m and 73 kg for men and 1,70 m and 60 kg for women. Average body height and weight of 800m run athletes is 1,77 m and 65 kg for men and 1,66 m and 53 kg for women. Furthermore we found by using statistical calculations that there is a direct relation between body height, weight and physical performance. Keywords: athletics, anthropometric characteristics, 400 m run, 800 m run

Vliv lezecké aktivity na somatické a kondiční vlastnosti dětí. / Effect of climbing activity on somatic and fitness characteristics in youth

Přikrylová, Tereza January 2015 (has links)
Title: Effect of climbing activity on somatic and fitness characteristics in youth. Objectives: The aim of this thesis was to assess the effect of climbing activity on fitness (upper body strength) and somatic (body composition) changes in youth in real conditions. Methods: We had 91 children participating in this study, who were attending climbing course in the climbing center Praha Ruzyně. Their age was 10,4 ± 3,0 years in average and their climbing ability was on UIAA scale from 4 th to 7 th degree. We detected information about age, climbing experience, and actual climbing performance. Furthermore, we measured height, weight and body composition and we used the tests for measuring upper body strength: hand grip, bent-arm hang and finger hang. Results: Dependence between strength tests (average of three measurements) and climbing level of RP (UIAA) was not statistically confirmed. There was not found the influence of climbed meters to changes in each tests of strength. There was no change in the grip strength test in average, during the exercise intervention. In the bent-arm hang test and the finger hang test, there were significant changes that were not depending on climbing experience of children. Conclusions: In this study was not confirmed any of the above hypotheses. However, it was found...

Komparace rehabilitačních postupů u operačního a konzervativního přístupu řešení deformity hrudníku v dětském věku / Comparison of Rehabilitation Procedures in the Operative and Conservative Approach to Manage Chest deformity in Children

Vyhnánek, Štěpán January 2019 (has links)
Title: Comparison of Rehabilitation Procedures in the Operative and Conservative Approach to Manage Chest deformity in Children Aim: The aim of this thesis is to determine the efficacy of a conservative approach in the treatment of inverted chest and to compare the effect of therapy with the surgical approach. Methodology of thesis: At the beginning of this project, a total of 9 children and adolescents (n = 9) from 10 years to 21 years of age (mean 15 years), male and female (8: 1) participated. All participants were diagnosed with thoracic deformity of pectus excavatum, which was not indicated for surgery. At the beginning of the project, all probands passed an initial examination, which included an obtaining of anthropometric values using a pelvimeter and a tailor's meter, to assess the anthropometric index and chest circumferences during breathing. Subsequently, a rehabilitation instructions have been given to all participants and all participants have obtained a printed version of these exercises. Results: The results of this study show that in patients with pectus excavatum, the regular and long term exercises, can bring the expected positive results. Especially in subjective complaints, chest flexibility and postural improvement. The final effect of thoracic deformity changes after 3 months...

Sebehodnocení (self-esteem) a body image v souvislosti se somatotypy / Self-esteem and body image in relation to somatotypes

Kernerová, Anna January 2016 (has links)
This thesis focuses on the relationship between body image and somatotypes in the young Czech student population. Previous studies have shown a relationship between body image and BMI, notwithstanding, somatotypes describe body morphology in a more detailed way. Somatotypes describe the amount of body fat (endomorphy), the amount of muscle mass and the robustness of bones (mesomorphy), and the length of arms and legs relative to the rest of the body (ectomorphy). Seventy-one women and seventy men participated in our study. They completed a battery of questionnaires (The Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire; The Body Figure Scale of Dosedlová et al., 2008; Rosengerg's self-esteem scale; State-Trait Anxiety Inventory - T; and Beck's Depression Inventory - II). Then they underwent an anthropometric measure of somatotype components (endomorphy, mesomorphy, and ectomorphy) according to Carter and Heath's anthropometric method and were assigned to a certain somatotype. In our sample, there were 5 somatotypes in men (endomorph, mesomorph, ectomorphic mesomorph, mesomorph-ectomorph and ectomorph) and 6 somatotypes in women (endomorph, endomorph- mesomoroph, mesomorph, mesomorph-ectomorph, ectomorph and the central type). The questionnaires' scores were then statistically compared between...

The armchair has the possibility of positioning the backrest. The furniture is complemented by a dining table for two people and a side table in order to achieve a pleasant stay in the exterior. This design solution was created to fulfill the requirements of a particular company and its production possibilities. The very solution is based on the current range of corresponding garden furniture in the actual European market. Further knowledge was needed in the field of anthropometry, ergonomics, furniture design and material information. The design solution is supported by the standards and technical and safety requirements. The work is supplemented by the drawing documentation, bill of materials, economic evaluation of the material costs and visualizations.

Vývoj antropometrických indexů u dětí předškolního věku / Evolution of anthropometric indices in pre-school children

Borešová, Martina January 2015 (has links)
The diploma thesis is mainly focused on monitoring Rohrer's index (RI) at preschool children in age of 3, 4, 5, and 6. The work is solving the question of mutual relation between Rohrer's index, sickness rate, and spontaneous activity of preschool children. Furthermore, Body Mass Index (BMI) is listed as another anthropometric index. In fact, BMI shouldn't be used for this age group but it's mentioned for its general knowledge. The anthropometric research includes the measurement of preschool's children body height and weight. 240 children were measured in total. Each age group contains 60 kids from which are always 30 boys and 30 girls. In addition, there is evaluated children's half year of preschool attendance, sickness, and spontaneous physical activity. The research is dealing with the question if body weight or height can influence children's sickness rate. Moreover, there is solved the association between kids' anthropometric indexes and physical activity. The data were processed through Student's t- test and the independence test  2 . As it is stated by professionals, the research has proven that Rohrer's index is decreasing in relation to age. The next result shows that children with lower anthropometric indexes are usually more spontaneously active. Kids with higher indexes are more...
