Aims to present new possibilities of making art through advanced languages and artistic references, in order to broaden the repertoire sensitive and expressive of teachers and students, as well as reorienting the practice of teaching art. Presents an art workshop aimed at teachers of that school, led by a local artist, through action research, qualitative approach that allows the intervention of the researcher in order to produce knowledge and information from the field of research. The relevance of the research is established on two basic aspects: the pedagogical and social. From the social point of view, it recognizes the work of a local artist and represents a huge potential for expansion of cultural knowledge. From the pedagogical point of view, the research turns to confirmation that the more it promotes the teaching of art and their diverse modes of learning more is produced improvement in the quality of teaching and in people's lives by offering a proposal pedagogical aims to unite theory and practice. It is concluded from this study that with the offer of a training project through interdisciplinary proposals that blend artistic and social, will be unleashing good situations that may well expand the epistemological foundations of educators leading thus to rethink and analyze teaching practice in training experiences through workshops that make the action intense and alive with art without seeking answers ready to perform the actions. / O presente estudo aborda a realidade do ensino de arte em escolas da educação básica e tem como ambiente de aderência uma instituição da rede privada de ensino do município de Jacareí SP, o Centro Educacional Mello e Arice. Tem como objetivo apresentar novas possibilidades de fazer arte por meio de avançadas linguagens e referências artísticas, com vistas a ampliar o repertório sensível e expressivo de professores e alunos, bem como reorientar a prática do ensino de arte. Apresenta uma oficina de arte destinada aos educadores da referida escola, conduzida por um artista local, por meio de uma pesquisa-ação, de abordagem qualitativa que permite a intervenção do pesquisador com o intuito de produzir conhecimentos e informações junto do campo pesquisado. A relevância da pesquisa se estabelece em dois aspectos básicos: o pedagógico e o social. Do ponto de vista social, reconhece-se o trabalho de um artista local e representa uma imensa possibilidade de ampliação de conhecimento cultural. Do ponto de vista pedagógico, a pesquisa se volta para a confirmação de que quanto mais se promove o ensino de arte e os seus modos diversificados de aprendizagem mais se produz melhoria na qualidade de ensino e na vida das pessoas por meio da oferta de uma proposta pedagógica que visa unir a teoria e a prática. Conclui-se neste estudo que com a oferta de um projeto de formação por meio de propostas interdisciplinares, que mesclam o artístico e o social, haverá o desencadeamento de boas situações que bem podem ampliar as bases epistemológicas dos educadores levando, assim, ao repensar e analisar a prática docente em experiências de formação por meio de oficinas que tornam intensos e vivos o agir com a arte, sem precisar buscar respostas prontas para realizar as ações.
