Židé na Jindřichohradecku. Proměna židovského osídlení v 19. století na příkladu vybraných obcí. / The Jews in the Region of Jindřichův Hradec

Rutová, Andrea January 2013 (has links)
This thesis deals with the transformation of the Jewish settlement in the Jindřichův Hradec region, which occurred due to the release of restriction laws in 1848. On the example of the Jewish communities in Jindřichův Hradec, Kardašova Řečice, Staré Město pod Landštejnem and Nová Bystřice is sketched the development in which the Jewish society in the region was proceeding. For each community are described oldest references of Jewish settlement, characteristic settlement in the 18th and 19 century based on the analysis of registers of Jews and eventually development of the community after 1848. The final chapter examines the process and the degree of assimilation of each community to the Czech nation.

Kurdská menšina v Turecku: Problémy a perspektivy / The Kurdish Minority in Turkey: Problems and Perspectives

Netopilová, Eliška January 2012 (has links)
The treatment of minorities by different states gains scholarly attention in the recent years. This thesis attempts to define the necessary criteria for a state to have in order for its treatment of minorities to be acceptable by the international society. There are three major parts of the thesis. It starts with a thorough investigation of legal dimension of minority rights. The thesis formulates the criteria that a state should meet in the field of national and international law regarding minority rights. The second part investigates the political dimension of the issue. The analysis of political dimension describes the interaction of governments with minorities and the factors influencing the success of minorities in achieving their demands. In the final part of the thesis, the criteria formulated in legal and political dimensions are applied to the case of the Kurdish minority in Turkey. The position of Kurdish minority in the society is unique because of the Turkish state's assimilationist policies towards ethnic minorities till very recent years. The minority rights defined by international society were, therefore, not recognized in Turkey. However, the situation has recently changed. The current government ruled by Justice and Development Party has applied numerous democratization reforms that normalize the position of minorities. The Kurdish minority is not discriminated against as much as it was in the past. In addition to the analysis of the current state of minority rights in Turkey, the thesis proposes opportunities for improvement in the future.

Vliv dusíkatých látek v kultivačním médiu na aktivitu fosfoenolpyruvátkarboxylasy a metabolicky souvisejících enzymů v rostlinách tabáku / The effect of nitrogen compounds in cultivation medium on the activity of phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase in tobacco plants

Garčeková, Květa January 2012 (has links)
The metabolism of plants grown in the cultivation medium is influenced by its composition and availability of CO2. In this project the effect of cultivation medium on the activity phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase (PEPC, EC 4.1.1.31), NADP-malic enzyme (NADP-ME, EC 1.1.1.40), pyruvate, phosphate dikinase (PPDK, EC 2.7.9.1) and enzymes of nitrogen metabolism: nitrate reductase (NR, EC 1.7.1.1), glutamine synthetase (GS, EC 6.3.1.2), glutamate synthase (GOGAT, EC 1.4.1.13) and glutamate dehydrogenase (GDH, EC 1.4.1.2) was studied. The tobacco plant Nicotiana tabacum L., cv. Petit Havana SR1 were grown in vitro in containers fitted with a filter, which caused limited access of CO2. The cultivation medium was modified Murashige-Skoog agar with decreased amounts of phosphate, nitrate, ammonium, or with casein as source of nitrogen and with or without of 1.5% sucrose as additional carbon source Activity of PEPC was higher in plants grown in medium in the presence of sucrose. Reduced concentrations of phosphates, nitrates or NH4 + ions or when casein was the only source of N in medium caused decreased activity of PEPC. Under these conditions, also activity of NADP-ME and of enzymes of nitrogen metabolism: NR, GS decreased. Activity of all enzymes was also negatively affected by limited CO2. On the other...

Občanská integrace přistěhovalců ve Francii v letech 2002-2012. / Civic Integration of Immigrants in France between 2002-2012

Simbartlová, Anna January 2016 (has links)
The Master thesis "Civic Integration of Immigrants in France between 2002-2012" deals with a new integration model of civic integration which the European immigration countries have begun to enforce since the turn of the millennium. An interesting feature of this model is that it is employed by countries whose approch to the integration of immigrants significantly differed till the end of the 20th century. The goal of the thesis is to discover what character shows the civic integration as a new integration model of immigrants in Europe in the integration policies applied in France between 2002-2012. The main hypothesis is based on the theory of the return of assimilation. Its author R. Brubaker claims that in the current integration policies of (not only) European states, the assimilationist tendencies return - however, not in the original concept of assimilation, but in a new transformed concept in between assimilation and multiculturalism. The thesis applies this theory conclusion to the contemporary civic integration policies, so the research verifies its assimilationist character. According to the method specially compiled for this research, the results prove that the integration measures accepted in France between 2002-2012 show a development from a moderate to considerable assimilationist...

Ukrajinská národní identita na území západní Ukrajiny během polské nadvlády v meziválečném období (1918-1939) / Ukrainian national identity on the territory of Western Ukraine under Polish rule in the interwar period (1918-1939)

Riabushkina, Sofiia January 2017 (has links)
The national politics of interwar Poland aimed at the full assimilation of the national minorities, including Ukrainians who lived in the occupied region of Eastern Galicia. This thesis studies the political basis, tools and outcomes of polonization policy during the period between 1918 and 1939 on the territory of Eastern Galicia and its main city Lviv. Deep analysis of Polish and Ukrainian political doctrines, Polish legislation, books, articles and periodical of the interwar period, as well as of modern historiography (both Polish and Ukrainian) resulted in developing of a comprehensive understanding of why the policy of polonization, aimed on population of Eastern Galicia failed to change historical Ukrainian identity. The data gathered in the analysis proves that the Polish government used tremendously rigid, if not brutal, tools of assimilation, and it resulted in rejection of the Polish national identity by Ukrainians. Moreover, confidence in the fact that Ukrainians are nothing more than underdeveloped Poles-to-be rise led to the rise of Ukrainian radical nationalism on the eve of the Second World War. Keywords Ukraine, Poland, National Identity, Assimilation, Polonization, Interwar Period

Diagnostika kovariancí chyb předběžného pole ve spojeném systému globální a regionální asimilace dat / Diagnostics of background error covariances in a connected global and regional data assimilation system

Bučánek, Antonín January 2018 (has links)
The thesis deals with the preparation of initial conditions for nume- rical weather prediction in high resolution limited area models. It focuses on the problem of preserving the large-scale part of the global driving model analysis, which can not be determined in sufficient quality in limited-area models. For this purpose, the so-called BlendVar scheme is used. The scheme consists of the appli- cation of the Digital Filter (DF) Blending method, which assures the transmission of a large-scale part of the analysis of the driving model to the limited area model, and of the three-dimensional variational method (3D-Var) at high resolution. The thesis focuses on the appropriate background error specification, which is one of the key components of 3D-Var. Different approaches to modeling of background errors are examined, including the possibility of taking into account the flow- dependent character of background errors. Approaches are also evaluated from the point of view of practical implementation. Study of evolution of background errors during DF Blending and BlendVar assimilation cycles leads to a new pro- posal for the preparation of a background error covariance matrix suitable for the BlendVar assimilation scheme. The use of the new background error covariance matrix gives the required property...

Výber najvhodnejších klonov odrody 'Velkopavlovická' a ich genetická variabilita.

Mészáros, Martin January 2014 (has links)
The aim of this work was to evaluate choosen group of 26 clones of apricot variety 'Velkopavlovická' and to select the best clone and subclone for growers in south Moravia. Beside of classical pomological and biological evaluation characteristics the objective was to verify some older as well as newer, less known methods for evaluation of relevant characteristics of clones. Descriptors for choosen biological and pomological characters were used for the evaluation of clones. The clones were analysed with molecular genetic methods to establish the genetic relationship and to search for the possibilities of distinguishing them. The floral morphology and its influence on bearing of the clones was evaluated in this work. Formation of bearing shoots according to their lenght, their morphological conformation, bearing potential and their longevity were evaluated using modern methods. The physiological performance was evaluated using calorimetry. After all, the health of the clones was studied by molecular identification of present patogens and biochemical aspects of plant defense response against patogens related to precocious dieback of apricots. For the data processing ANOVA, X2, Mantel tests were used. For the evaluation of clones, following 11 biological and pomological characteristics were assessed: 1. precocious dieback occurence, 2. stem necrotic injuries, 3. patogen occurence of Gnomonia erythrostoma, 4. flower set, 5. fruit set, 6. bearing, 7. yield efficiency , 8. flowering date, 9. fruit weight, 10. fruit width, 11. relative rate of the stone to whole fruit weight. Evaluation of genetic relationship using molecular genetic methods S-SAP offereds the possibility of parcial distinction of 'Velkopavlovická' clones to 5 groups based on the transposonal polymorphic loci. Molecular genetic methods AFLP, S-SAP and iPBS provided similar profiles of the evaluated clones and genotypes. Differences in floral morphology shows low ranking stability in the number of each floral organs of those clones and their considerably lower occurence in contrast to the current experience. Based on this results, this method seems to be not perspective for clonal selection. The evaluation of morphological structure of bearing shoots, their bearing and longevity gives many informations about the morphological structure of the clones and it seems to be a perspective method for clonal selection. Differences between the clones were found in the high number of generative organs on short shoots, medium shoots and their distribution along the central axis of scaffold branches. The physiological characteristics of adult idividuals of evaluated clones using net asimilation rate seems to be hard to interpret and its use in clonal selection need fruther research. Research of patogen presence using PCR method shows significant presence of ESFY and Cytospora cincta in the tissues of evaluated clones. Those patogens were most likely related to the precocious dieback of apricots. Salycilic acid and the number of transcript copies of the beta-1,3-glucanase and gene expresion of Pru ar1 markers are most likely associated with plant defense of apricots. Based on results of biochemical analysis of the substances assosiated with plant defense the possibility to evaluate plant health of apricots considering precocious dieback with help of used markers in field conditions can be suggested. There use for clonal selection need fruther researche. The best clones LE-108, LE-111, LE-120 and M.72A of variety 'Velkopavlovická' seems to be the most promising from the evaluated group of clones. As the best subclones following individuals were choosen: clone LE-120 - tree 36 (1. row), clon M.72A - trees 26, 37 a 49 (8. row), clon LE-108 trees 28 a 29 (3. row) and clon LE-111 tree 27 (6. row).

A život šel dál: Osudy československých přeživších židů po druhé světové válce / The Life After: The Life of Czechoslovac Jewish Survivers after the Second World War

Skálová, Adéla January 2011 (has links)
This thesis deals with post-war lives of eighteen respondents who were according to the Nuremberg Laws labeled as Jews or half-Jews. They have been imprisoned in concentration camps, they had to hide or emigrate during the World War II. This thesis focuses on their lives after the war. It traces their return, not/regaining of their property, reunification with their family and friends, or their post-war emigration. The thesis also centers around their lives after the communist regime came to power in Czechoslovakia, it was a regime that many Jewish survivors supported in the beginning. The thesis also concentrates on their lives during anti-Semitic purges in the 1950s to which many family members of the respondents fell victims. In the 1960s, borders were a bit more "open" and this was welcomed my many because most of the Jewish families had relatives and friends abroad. Lots of the respondents decided to emigrate after the 1968 invasion of Czechoslovakia. The following decades of normalization maintained the discourse of hidden anti-Semitism and restrictions of personal freedoms. Many respondents eagerly welcomed the Velvet Revolution. They were able to strengthen their own Jewish identity thanks to newly gained freedoms and emergence or re-creation of many Jewish organizations. Last but not...
