Není přítel jako přítel. Židé v národním státě Čechů a Slováků, 1945-1948. / Unequal Friends: Jews in the Nation-State of Czechs and Slovaks, 1945-1948

Sedlická, Magdalena January 2019 (has links)
The topic of the dissertation is the integration of Jewish citizens into the majority population between the years 1945-1948. It focuses primarily on three Jewish population groups in the Czech lands whose reintegration was fraught with difficulties. The groups in question were "German Jews", people who declared Jewish nationality, and Jewish optants from the former territory of Carpathian Ruthenia who decided to settle in Czechoslovakia after World War II. Their legal standing was unclear, in particular in the immediate post-war years. The most important issue for them was acquiring Czechoslovak citizenship, something that could help them become full-fledged citizens, and so had a significant impact on the future of these individuals. For this reason, the submitted work focuses on the bureaucratic actions that influenced the everyday lives of Jewish citizens. Many lower-level government clerks were unsure about how to proceed with the Jews' citizenship applications. The important criteria that often decided the outcome of the applications became the 1930 census, but especially the applicants' stated nationality or mother tongue. Furthermore, the dissertation focuses on the problems that the Jews faced when they were denied citizenship. For "German Jews", this meant being forcefully deported, while...

VÁVROVÁ, Ilona January 2016 (has links)
The core of this thesis is to analyze two popular Jewish periodicals on 30th last century. One of this periodical is called Židovské zprávy (Jewish News) which is Zionist oriented. Second one is a magazine called Rozvoj (Progress) which is representing Czech-Jewish assimilation movement and which is opposed to Zionist ideology. The work is going to follow not only the way of reflection and interpretation of historical political events, but also it is going to focus on the relationship between supporters of the two directions and their attitude to the Czechoslovak Republic and its political representatives.Attention will also be paid to cultural and literary profiling of both periodicals. Subject of the analysis will be also cultural and literary annually based supplements called Židovský kalendář (Jewish Calendar) and Kalendář česko-židovský (Czech Jewish Almanac). The aim of this thesis is to capture ahistorical speechof periodicals which are defined by their ideologies so we can reveal their strategy and perception of the world.

Afirmativní přístupy v systému základního školství s důrazem na vzdělávání romských žáků / Affirmative approaches in the primary school system with a Focus on Educating Roma pupils

Rampasová, Šárka January 2016 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with affirmative approaches in the primary school system, with a focus being placed on educating Roma pupils. It includes the historical context that is important to gain an understanding of the issues in this area, and concentrates on the concept of the Roma Integration Strategy for 2015-2020, presenting the objectives of the Strategy aimed at supporting the education of the Roma. The determinants that have an impact on the process of educating Roma pupils - the family and school in particular - are characterised. Furthermore, the significance of the affirmative approaches playing a major role in achieving social integration and facilitating the creation of equal opportunities for the Roma in education, including employment and social involvement, is illustrated. The last chapter of the thesis aims to evaluate the preparatory class, which is among compensatory approaches to Roma pupils in danger of social exclusion, and verifies whether a two-year education in the preparatory class can compensate for Roma children's delayed psychomotor development before they enter the first grade. A questionnaire for teachers who work with these pupils on a long-term basis was used as the research tool. A comparison of the children's results before entering and after finishing the...

Teologické pojednání Mistra Jakoubka ze Stříbra "De usura iudeorum et christianorum" a jeho reflexe postavení Židů ve společnosti / Theological treatise by Master Jacobellus de Stříbro "De ususra iudeorum et christianorum" and his reflection of the position of Jews in society

Gažíková Fečová, Rostislava January 2017 (has links)
1 Summary Diploma thesis "The theological treatise by Master Jacobellus de Misa ‚De usura iudeorum et christianorum' and his reflection of the position of Jews in society" is about the one from the writings of m. Jakoubek of Stříbro. Treatise "Contra usuram" ("Against usury") was written about in the year 1415, and has not yet been translated into Czech. For the use of this theses, I translated the Latin text of Appendix into Czech. The first chapter of advocates selected topic in historical context, that is, the crisis of the turn of the 14. and 15. century, when the high middle ages already continuously paced to the modern era. Our history has been called Czech Hussite reformation and revolution. In the second chapter is introduced by m. Jacob of Mies as a friend, collaborator and successor in the work of m. Jan Hus at the Prague University. Together with m. Nicholas from Dresden initiated the adoption of recovery sub utraque speciae and became a leading theologian utraquists. The subject of the third chapter is the concept of usury, according to the Scriptures, the church fathers and teachers, and the medieval doctrine of the usury and its effects. Usury was all the ecclesiastical authorities, widely dismissed as immoral, forbidden Letters social phenomenon. The fifth chapter deals with the dramatic...

Českožidovské hnutí a reakce české společnosti v letech 1918 - 1938 / Czech - Jewish Movement and the Reaction of cthe Czech Society 1918 - 1938

Iblová, Kristýna January 2021 (has links)
This thesis inquires into the assimilation faction of the Jewish minority on the Bohemian territory at the end of the 19th century and first half of the 20th century which was represented by the Czech-Jewish movement. It presents the origins of the movement with a special focus on the period of the First Czechoslovak Republic. It examines the development of its identity which was formed by contemporary social-political events. The study presents the movement's attitudes towards Czech majority and towards the Czechoslovak state. It also describes its struggle with Anti-semitism and Zionism which were undermining the efforts of the assimilation into the major society. The thesis introduces Jindřich Kohn - the leading figure of this movement during the interwar period - and researches his attitude to assimilation and his reflection on antisemitism and Zionist movement. The references can be found at the end of the thesis. Major part of the thesis was based on thorough work with the resource materials, more specifically monographs of the representatives of Czech-Jewish movement from that period and the then magazines. The main resources were historical studies by associate professor Blanka Soukupová who was researching the Czech-Jewish movement. The aim of the study is to introduce the development of...

LAI- kvantifikátor pěstebního zásahu =:LAI- quantifier of silvicultural treatment /

Černý, Jakub January 2019 (has links)
The thesis divided into four research topics dealt with an issue of the relation between silvicultural treatments and an amount of the bearing photosynthetically active assimilation apparatus quantified by leaf area index (LAI) in forest stands of an economically important tree species in the Czech Republic. In pure Norway spruce pole stands at the middle altitudinal zone, an effect of silvicultural treatments on the LAI and an efficiency of the photosynthetically active radiation (PAR; 380-720 nm) by foliage within the photosynthetic uptake was evaluated through both canopy production index (CPI) and leaf area effectivity (LAE), and the highest value of the LAI was achieved in a plot with the highest stand density. However, the highest efficiency of the PAR utilisation (CPI, LAE) was noted in the stand, which was tended by thinning from above. Thus, it was proved that not only the total LAI value but especially an efficacy of the leaf area reflecting sun and shade foliage ratio is the more relevant parameter for an evaluation of the effectivity of the thinning treatment. In a forest regeneration, the LAI can also be used for quantification of the regeneration process stage related to a growth dynamic of the natural regeneration. Besides that the newly developed device LaiPen LP 100 (PSI, ČR) for indirect optical LAI estimation was tested within this study. LAI values measured by LaiPen LP 100 showed almost same accuracy of the measurement and identical trends as world standard (LAI-2200 PCA; LI-COR, NE, USA); both at the stand level and the particular measurement point level. Within the study of the efficacy of the PAR utilisation by foliage in photosynthetic uptake expressed by radiation use efficiency (RUE) in pure, fully-stocked and not defoliated Norway spruce mature stands, it was found that mean air temperature most significantly affect annual and monthly values of the RUE with the significant linear relationship (R2 = 0.19; p < 0.05). In the spruce stands, the significant linear relationship (R2 = 0.85; p < 0.001) between an amount of the sequestrated carbon in the form of atmospheric CO2 molecules and the RUE was also proved. The research topic dealt with a seasonal dynamic of the LAI in selected pure and even-aged European beech and sycamore maple stands revealed findings that a culmination of the LAI is achieved within summer months (DOY 120-140) in the investigated stands. The period is the most suitable for estimation and mutual comparison of the LAI due to the stability of its values in investigated (but also in another deciduous) stands. In studied beech and maple stands, maximum LAI values were noted in the second half of June (DOY 170). General findings of underestimation of LAI values estimated by indirect optical methods compared to direct methods were also confirmed. In the last research topic, an effect of the stand age on the leaf area development was studied in pure, even-aged, and fully-leaved (not defoliated) forest stands of an economically important tree species (Norway spruce, Scots pine, silver fir, Douglas fir, European beech, pedunculate oak, and black walnut). Except for black walnut stands, significant linear relationships proving a decrease of the leaf area with increasing age of the stand were found. The relation between the leaf area expressed by effective plant area index (PAIe) and the age of stands was studied for monitoring of the leaf area dynamic within forest stands with a different age.
