Research with use of fitorreguladores in pineapple aimed at inhibiting significantly the natural floral differentiation of this fruitful is of great commercial interest by rural entrepreneurs, for it will allow the control of seasons of production of fruits with expressive reduction of costs in cultural practices, inherent in the ununiformity of flowering and harvesting. In light of the above, the objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of doses and number of applications of Aviglicine Hydrochloride on the inhibition of the natural floral differentiation of 'Smooth Cayenne' pineapple. The work was carried out in a commercial area of pineapple, located in the city of Bauru, state of São Paulo, with a randomized complete block design in a 4 x 3 factorial scheme, with four replications, the first factor being Aviglucine Hydrochloride - AVG (ReTain ™) (0, 25, 50 and 100 mg L -1) and the second factor equivalent to AVG application numbers (2, 4 and 6 sprays) in the period prior to the process of natural floral differentiation In the region of Bauru - SP, between the months of April and May. For the evaluation of the vegetative and reproductive period after 6 months of planting, leaf D data were collected every 60 days, considering its leaf area (cm²), fresh and dry mass (g), length (cm). For the evaluation of the natural flowering the percentage of inhibition of the natural floral differentiation was evaluated, using 40 plants per experimental plot. In the post-harvest phase the following physical attributes of the fruits were evaluated: length (cm); Fruit diameter (cm); Fruit format; Fresh fruit mass (kg) and crown (g); Degree of transluscence; Soluble solids (Brix); Titratable acidity (g citric acid 100 mL-1); SS / AT ratio and fruit pH. Subsequent to the performance of fruit quality analyzes, Pearson's linear correlation coefficients between the Aviglicine Hydrochloride doses and the attributes studied were estimated. Based on the main results, it was possible to infer that in the region where the study was conducted, the beginning of the natural floral differentiation process of the 'Smooth Cayenne' pineapple plants was prolonged. However, there was no effect of the number of applications of Aviglicine Hydrochloride in the control of flowering, with the concentration of 95.9 mg L-1 was more efficient in the control of natural flowering. The highest soluble solids and pH contents were obtained in the AVG concentrations of 22 and 57.8 mg L-1, respectively, the increase in the concentration of this product reduced the values of these attributes and, as far as correlation analysis is concerned, there is an effect of the acidity of the fruits with the increase of AVG doses. The use of six applications of AVG promotes greater fresh mass of leaf "D".

Generation of floating islands using height maps

Sandberg, Roland January 2013 (has links)
A floating island was generated using two height maps, one for the bottom of the island and one for the top. Vertices of the island was displaced in the Y axis using an algorithm called Simplex noise. To avoid texture stretching that appears when displacing the vertices an algorithm called “tri planar projection” was implemented. After the vertices had been displaced the normal was smoothed using “normal smoothing”. An algorithm here called “the AVG algorithm” is created to smooth jig sawed edges around the island that appears after the island has been generated. The results of the AVG algorithm is judged by a group of 26 participants to see if any jig sawed edges are perceived. They answered a survey containing seven pictures, with each picture having one more iteration of the AVG algorithm then the last, starting from 0 iterations. Five iterations proved to be the best.

Strukturování kódu v zadní části zpětného překladače / Code Structuring in Decompiler Back-End

Porwolik, Tomáš January 2016 (has links)
This thesis deals with a decompilation tool which converts low-level binary code to a high-level representation. This tool is being developed by AVG Technologies. The aim of this work is to design and implement a method for code structuring in the decompiler back-end. The designed method works by traversing the control-flow graph with matching of predefined patterns. It is not always possible to structure code using conditional statements and loops. Sometimes also goto statements must be used. The implemented solution is compared with the original solution in the decompiler. According to the results the new solution is faster, better tested, but in greater number of test cases generates invalid code. From the viewpoint of structuring the results are different and sometimes the code is structured better, but sometimes worse.

GENETIC DISSECTION OF lin-11 REGULATION IN DIFFERENTIATION OF C. elegans AMPHID SENSORY NEURONS

Amon, Siavash 10 1900 (has links)
<p>The expression of <em>lin-11</em> is regulated by enhancers located upstream from, as well as within, <em>lin-11</em> intronic sequences. Multiple regulatory inputs control the spatiotemporal expression pattern of <em>lin-11</em>. To better understand that process, we have investigated these regulatory enhancers by dissecting two of the biggest intronic sequences of <em>lin-11</em>: intron 3 and intron 7. Using microscopy, we show that the expression of intron 3 is required in ten head sensory neurons and that the expression of intron 7 is required in two head neurons. The truncation of intron 7 revealed that its regulatory sequence may be located within its narrow 98 base pairs (bp) region. We used bioinformatics to predict which putative transcription factor(s) may regulate AVG expression. Using a hypersensitive RNAi mutant strain, <em>eri-1; lin-15b,</em> we tested forty putative transcription factors and quantitated the number of animals in which the molecular marker <em>lin-11::GFP</em> expression is knockdown in AVG interneurons.</p> <p>Using electrotactic behavioral analysis we show that the speed of<em> lin-11</em> null allele, n389, is reduced by almost 50%, when compared to that of the wildtype animals, due to amphid sensory neuronal deformities. We determine which conserved domains of <em>lin-11</em> are required for the proper development of the neuronal and vulval cells via microinjection rescue experiments.</p> <p>We sequenced eleven <em>lin-11</em> alleles to determine which conserved domains are affected and the role of each of these domains in the development of vulval and neuronal cells. Our findings suggest that all <em>lin-11</em> conserved domains are required for proper vulval cell differentiation as well as for proper development of the amphid sensory neurons. Finally, using tissue specific markers we label vulval cells in <em>lin-11</em> mutants to show that those cells are defective, as judged by the lack of fate-specific markers in the vulval cells.</p> / Master of Biological Science (MBioSci)
