Study on the bamboo-charcoal materials properties of applying to cement mortar are improved

This research fully use the absorbability extremely good characteristic of bamboo charcoal, probe into the feasibility research that the bamboo charcoal will be applied to the ocean engineering. The bamboo charcoal with replace different thin aggregates weight¡]replace 0%¡B3%¡B5% and 7% of thin aggregates weight¡^add it into the cement mortar, and then to plan three kinds of cement mortar ratio¡]w/c=0.40¡B0.48 and 0.55¡^,and test of every relevant tests. Include strength and permeability relevant tests, probe into bamboo charcoal is it influence engineering character of the cement mortar to add. In order to assess the suitability that the bamboo charcoal applies to the cement mortar, test this material replace part thin aggregates compression strength and permeability coefficient of the influence, and the bamboo charcoal to have absorbability the chlorine ion and sulfide harmful chemical of the characteristic to the bamboo charcoal. Test to resist chloride ion and sulfide tests, to discussion by the result of the test. In order to get a group of best cement mortar ratio of replace the bamboo charcoal, and change tiny structure of the cement mortar with Scanning Electron Microscope¡]SEM¡^. By prove feasibility to the ocean engineering the bamboo charcoal adds into the cement mortar.

The Study of Electromagnetic Shielding Efficient of cement mortar with bamboo-charcoal ingredient

This research mainly focuses on the electromagnetic shielding effectiveness of bamboo -charcoal, using cement mortar with bamboo-charcoal ingredient replacing parts of thin aggregates weight, and then finds the feasibility of electromagnetic shielding effectiveness by using bamboo-charcoal applied to cement mortar. Experiment contains two parts, one is to use different proportions of bamboo-charcoal with replacing with thin aggregates weights( 0%¡B3%¡B5% and 7% ),and the other is to use three kinds of thickness(3mm¡B4mm and 5mm), to measure the effectiveness of electrom- agnetic shielding, and to probe into whether cement mortar with bamboo-charcoal ingredient can shield electromagnetic or not. After researching on cement mortar with bamboo-charcoal, it can be used in civil engineering and ocean engineering, and this experiment will act on the premise which is not affecting the property of cement mortar with bamboo-charcoal, continuing using the condition of reference(Yu,2007) to probe into the electromagnetic shielding effectiveness of cement mortar with bamboo-charcoal, expecting this material can be used to domestic architecture, for protecting the health of our home environment.

Experimental study on the property up-grading for SCC with bamboo-charcoal application

This research studies the properties of self-compacting concrete by applying bamboo-charcoal to improve the fresh concrete property, physical property and micro-scale property.Conventionally, the Pozzolanic materials used in the self-compacting concrete are fly ash and slag. They are used to replace part of the cement such that the flowing property and compacting property can reach the requirement of the self-compacting concrete. According to previous research the bamboo-charcoal can absorb part of water, and enhance the early strength of concrete. In this study, we use bamboo-charcoal to replace parts of the fine-aggregate in the mixture of self-compacting concrete. The replacement ratio is designed as 0‰,2‰,3‰,3.5‰,4‰ and 5‰. From the experimental test of fresh concrete property, we can evaluate whether the concrete mix design can achieve the requirements of self-compacting concrete. Test for the compressive strength development, water absorption and rapid chloride penetration test are performed to evaluate the physical property of concrete. In addition, the scanning electronic microscope photos are taken to examine the microstructure of the concrete. In our results, it is found that the best proportion of replacement is 3‰. The requirements of self-compacting concrete can be satisfied, and the development of strength is also good.
