Modelování vícekanálového optického bezkabelového spoje / Modeling of the multichannel optical wireless link

Pavlů, Michal January 2012 (has links)
This thesis deals with multi-channel wireless links with a higher range designated for free-space communications in an atmospheric media. Propagation of the optical beam in an atmosphere is analysed and various influences affecting the quality of the transmitted signal are described. The simulation is carried out for dual optical link. Link budget of individual paths working at the wavelengths in the atmospheric windows – 850 nm and 1550nm. It also examined optical intensity distribution of the transmitted beam. At the end of the work performed measurements and simulations verify the accuracy of the components used in wireless link.

Soubor výukových programů / The set of tutorial programs

Vaculík, Jakub Unknown Date (has links)
With increasing demands for transit capacity of data networks as well as communication network optical networks seem to be the suitable solution. Light beam is attractive to use for data transmission . Transmitted data can be expressed by means of light impuls.. For execution of the project we need the whole optical telecommunical system which consists of transmitter, transmission link and receiver. The target of transmission link is to transfer optical beam from its resourse to detector with minimal losses. The optical fibre or optical freespace optical link FSO are used for this purpose. This thesis discusses basic effects that accompany these roads. The program that is created in this study clearly shows and describes the dependence of these phenomena on the individual input parameters. It is designed for students so that they can better imagine how these phenomena take place.

Koherence laserového svazku v turbulentní atmosféře / Laser beam coherence in turbulent atmosphere

Polanský, David January 2011 (has links)
In the first part of the thesis discusses the function of the laser design and construction of its class. Here is an explanation of coherence and other properties of laser radiation. Listed below are the possibilities of energy distribution in the laser beam. Described in particular Gaussian beam. The paper explains the phenomena of bending and Young's experiment. The paper examines the influence of atmospheric environment in the transmission of electromagnetic waves, defined as light. Particular attention is devoted to atmospheric turbulence. In the second part are first discussed the possibility of measuring atmospheric turbulence and coherence of laser beam parameters. The following is designed to measure workplace coherence width and coherence length in a turbulent environment. At these workplaces were measured. The results of these measurements are also listed in the job. The following comparison of results with theoretical values.

Hrbáčková, Petra January 2010 (has links)
This thesis deals with the structure of the optical wireless link intended for indoor applications. Optical transmitters and optical receivers as the basic elements of optical links and their characteristics and parameters are described. The characteristics of lenses used in the transmitter and receiver are presented. The special chapter is devoted to the directional reflectance properties of surfaces. The last part of the thesis is focused on a specific proposal of the wireless optical links and its power level diagram.

Vysokorychlostní optický spoj pro krátké vzdálenosti / Low-range high-speed optical transceiver

Pučálka, Jan January 2013 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with description and design of a low-cost free-space optical (FSO) link. First, general FSO theory is discussed including their common parameters, properties and topologies. Further, optical signal sources and detectors are proposed. Finally, the selected implementation is described including its design and realization. The proposed FSO consists of two identical segments (modules) to form a full-duplex link. The FSO utilizes LED as a light source, maximum speed data rate is 100 Mb/s with 100Base-TX interface.

Prostorové dělení optických svazků / Spatial Division of Optical Beams

Hampl, Martin January 2009 (has links)
The dissertation thesis deals with a free space optical links, especially is focused directly to the transmission optical beams. The influence of environmental conditions like atmospheric turbulence, buildings movement and vibration is described. As a possibility to reduce these undesirable influences, the generation of the transmission beam by the help of the two-mode optical fiber is proposed. A possibility to drive the shape of the resulting transmission beam by means of the change of power ration of individual modes in fiber is described. The coherence features of the proposed beam are analyzed considering the possibility to reduce the influence of atmospheric turbulence. In the thesis there are introduced beam quality parameters that enable to evaluate the quality of the optical beam for the free space optical link. These parameters give the relationship between the shape of the optical beam and the power balance of the optical link and the statistical evaluation of the optical link.

MODELOVÁNÍ A IMPLEMENTACE SUBSYSTÉMŮ KOMUNIKAČNÍHO ŘETĚZCE V OBVODECH FPGA / COMMUNICATION CHAIN SUB-BLOCK MODELLING AND IMPLEMENTATION IN FPGA

Kubíček, Michal January 2010 (has links)
Most modern clock and data recovery circuits (CDR) are based on analog blocks that need to be redesigned whenever the technology process is to be changed. On the other hand, CDR based blind oversampling architecture (BO-CDR) can be completely designed in a digital process which makes its migration very simple. The main disadvantages of the BO-CDR that are usually mentioned in a literature are complexity of its digital circuitry and finite phase resolution resulting in larger jitter sensitivity and higher error rate. This thesis will show that those problems can be solved by designing a new algorithm of BO-CDR and subsequent optimization. For this task an FPGA was selected as simulation and verification platform. This enables to change parameters of the optimized circuit in real time while measuring on real links (unlike a simulation using inaccurate link models). The output of this optimization is a new BO-CDR algorithm with heavily reduced complexity and very low error rate. A new FPGA-based method of jitter measurement was developed (primary for CDR analysis), which enables a quick link characterization without using probing or additional equipment. The new method requires only a minimum usage of FPGA resources. Finally, new measurement equipment was developed to measure bit error distribution on FSO links to be able to develop a suitable error correction scheme based on ARQ protocol.

Interferometrické měření fázových změn optického svazku v turbulenci / Interferometric measurement of phase changes of optical beam in turbulence

Děcká, Klára January 2018 (has links)
This master’s thesis deals with the impact of atmospheric turbulence on phase changes of a free space optical signal. This problematic is investigated by the interferometric method. A part of the thesis is focused on the phenomenon of atmospheric turbulence. Then the physical effect of interference is discussed and optical interferometers are described. The experimental part of the thesis is focused on measurement of phase shift of optical signal by interferometric method. The result of the thesis is to determine how phase shift of an optical beam depends on the strength of turbulence.

Vliv atmosférických turbulencí na optický svazek / Influence of atmospheric turbulences on the optical beam

Bárta, Miroslav January 2009 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to study a free space optics and its application in communication technologies. It describes possible interrupting impacts on the beamed optical signal, which are signal noise, attenuation of the atmosphere and atmospheric turbulence. The basis of the thesis is to describe the impact of the atmospheric turbulences on the optical beam. Fluctuation of optical intensity in the optical beam has been measured and index of refraction structure parameter calculated. With its assistance, turbulence rate has been determined.

CHYBOVOST A DOSTUPNOST ATMOSFÉRICKÝCH OPTICKÝCH SPOJŮ / BIT ERROR RATE AND AVAILABILITY OF THE ATMOSPHERIC OPTICAL LINKS

Kvíčala, Radek January 2009 (has links)
This dissertation deals with the problematic of the free space optical link availability determination. For the presumption of the free space optical link unavailability we have to know statistical distribution of the atmospheric attenuations. In this work is also presented the measurement of these atmospheric attenuations with the specially designed optical link. Measurement is using switching of the two separate transmitters with wavelengths of 830 nm and 1550 nm. Presented statistic distribution let us determine the suitability of the link in the chosen locality during its design. Comparison of our measurement with other models like model based on the meteorological visibility is also presented. The last part of this work is focused on the preconditions for the hi-speed network bit error rate determination. Sample of the bit error rate measurement obtained by our designed bit error rate tester is attached.
