This thesis is focused on renewable energy, biogas, biogas plant characteristics, economic efficiency, operation and investment in the very construction of the station. The first chapter describes the current status of the use of biomass for energy purposes. Furthermore, biogas, including processes that preceded its formation and the factors that affect it. U biogas station New Town in Moravia was obtained techno-economic parameters that are tabular and graphical processing. Acquired technical and economic outputs of biogas plants were analysed for the economic evaluation of costs, benefits, evaluation of return on investment and operational effectiveness. The main focus was to evaluate the economic efficiency of existing and future opportunities for further streamlining the operation of the biogas plant.
