Suverenita parlamentu : podstata, vývoj a důsledky pro soudní přezkum normotvorby / The sovereignty of Parliament: its substance, development and consequences for the judicial review of rule-making

Píša, Radek January 2013 (has links)
My thesis deals with the legal concept of sovereign Parliament, the very keystone of British constitution according to A. V. Dicey. This model has been challenged both normatively and descriptively. Concerning the normative point of view, concept of unlimited sovereignty is incoherent. Descriptively, courts don't simply take the parliamentary supremacy for granted, even if they say so. Relationship between the Parliament and courts is certainly more complex than Dicey suggested. Goals of this thesis are rather tentative. Since the popularity of this topic among British constitutional lawyers, comprehensive analysis is implausible due to the limited space. This paper aims to gather fundamental theories and disputes regarding the parliamentary sovereignty and its relationship with courts. In other words, it explores connection between the Parliament and courts in contemporary British constitution. First chapter analyses the constitutional conventions, which forms the basics of several other fundamental concepts in UK constitution. It suggests that there are no clear boundaries between law and conventions. Second chapter focuses on the general concept of sovereignty and Diceyan classic theory of Parliamentary sovereignty. There is also a brief explanation of sovereignty's connection to Scot's law....

Hodnocení komplexity signálu ve zpracování zobrazení pomocí funkční magnetické rezonance / Signal complexity evaluation in the processing of functional magnetic resonance imaging

Vyhnánek, Jan January 2012 (has links)
Functional magnetic resonance imaging has been recently the most common tool for examining the neural activity in human and animals. The goal of a typical data-mining challenge is the localisation of brain areas activated during a cognitive task which is usually performed using a linear model or correlation methods. For this purpose several authors have proposed the use of methods evaluating signal complexity which could possibly overcome some of the shortcomings of the standards methods due to their independence on a priori knowledge of data characteristics. This work explains possibilities of using such methods including aspects of their configuration and it proposes an evaluation of performance of the methods applied on simulated data following expected biological characteristics. The results of the evaluation of performance showed little advantage of these methods over the standard ones in cases when the standard methods were possible to apply. However, some of the methods evaluating signal complexity were found useful for determining the regularity of signals which is a feature that cannot be assessed by the standard methods. Optimal parameters of the methods evaluating signal regularity were determined on simulated data and finally the methods were applied on the data examining emotional processing of...

Vliv složení heterogenní bipolární membrány na její mechanické vlastnosti. / Heterogeneous bipolar membrane and the influence of composition on its properties

Kvasničková, Lucie January 2017 (has links)
This work is focused on the preparation of heterogeneous bipolar membranes and studies the influence of different composition on mechanical and physical properties. The main feature of this approach is optimalization of composition following gained data. Theoretical part contains new piece of knowledge in the field of heterogeneous bipolar membranes. Experimental part engages preparation of bipolar ion-exchange membranes on one face cation-selective and on the other one anion-selective. In this case are used variant types of polyethylene.

Bipolární afektivní porucha: věk nástupu jako indikátor průběhu nemoci / Bipolar affective disorder: Age at onset as an indicator in the course of disease

Urbanová, Kateřina January 2020 (has links)
Bipolar affective disorder is a very dynamic disease, which is influenced by numerous factors. One of these factors is the age at onset. The age at onset of bipolar affective disorder may play a major role in its course, severity and number of relapses, number of hospitalizations or response to mood stabilizers. Other factors influenced by the age at onset are suicide thoughts or attempted suicide. The aim of this work is to investigate and demonstrate the effect of age of the first symptom on the course of bipolar disorder. In the framework of quantitative research, 116 respondents completed a questionnaire on the course of bipolar affective disorder. Early age at onset (≤ 19 years) correlated significantly with the longer interval between the first symptom and the visit to the doctor, the first symptom and the first diagnosis and the first symptom and the diagnosis of bipolar affective disorder. There were no statistically significant relationships between the age at onset and the number of hospitalizations or the severity of the disease. Although the effect of age at onset on the course and severity of the disease has not been proven, this area should be further explored as it may help to better management the treatment of the disorder.

Analýza zkušenosti osob s bipolární afektivní poruchou / Analysis of the experience of people with bipolar disorder

Dally, Andrea January 2019 (has links)
The aim of the diploma thesis is to survey characteristics in the experience of people with bipolar disorder. The choice of the topic is based on the lack of research of the experience of people suffering with bipolar disorder in the Czech environment. The aim of this thesis is to comprehend the life of people with bipolar disorder. The theoretical part of the thesis is focusing on the description of the historical and contemporary concept of bipolar disorder including the so-called bipolar spectrum. This part presents treatment options as well as comorbidities which are often a part of the clinical course of the disease. The aim of the theoretical part is to introduce the reader to the issue of bipolar disorder which allows a better understanding of the empirical part. In the empirical part, six respondents were interviewed to collect data. The grounded theory method was chosen for data processing and the Atlas.ti software was used for coding purposes. As a result of the data processing a process of learning how to live with bipolar disorder has emerged. The process of learning how to live with bipolar disorder is an active process that leads to a deeper understanding of the disease and skill gains mitigating manifestation of the disease. At the beginning of the learning, there are motivation...

Použití konduktometrické metody pro měření vodivosti korozní vrstvy olověných slitin / Using konduktometric method for conductivity measurement of the corrosive layer of lead alloys

Neoral, Jiří January 2008 (has links)
Lead-acid batteries are the oldest and most common type of secondary cells. Their biggest use is as a power source for a car starter. Bipolar lead-acid batteries could also be used for new applications such as power sources for hybrid electrical vehicles (HEV) for their high power. But there are still many technical problems limiting its use in these applications, which have to be overcome. This could cover parasite reactions as is gas creation, heat removal from the battery and another big problem is substrate corrosion. This diploma thesis concerns the actual state of bipolar lead batteries in the world with detail orientation to substrate corrosion. This thesis describes the conductometric method of lotion conductivity measurement and its modification for measurement of lead grid conductivity. From that we can find out, that when material loses more conductivity, the greater the corrosion. This thesis describes needed preparative experiments for assurance, that the conductometric method can be used for corrosion speed measurement and there are other experiments testing different lead alloys for corrosion speed.

Spánkové koreláty časného rizika bipolární afektivní poruchy u dětí a adolescentů. / Sleep correlates of early risk of bipolar disorder in children and adolescents.

Šebela, Antonín January 2019 (has links)
Background: Reports of subjective sleep impairments have been replicated in adults with bipolar disorder (BD) and young BD patients. Furthermore, circadian rhythm alterations are a core feature of BD. Despite the impairment in circadian rhythms and altered sleep included in various heuristic developmental models of BD, thus far, biomarkers in population at risk for BD have not been sufficiently objectively validated. Thus, we conducted: a) Explorative study of sleep and rest-activity circadian rhythm among offspring of BD parents. b) Study of sleep and rest-activity circadian rhythm among offspring of BD parents without the presence of psychopathology (except depression and anxiety disorders) based on our exploratory findings. Methods: a) 14 days of actigraphic assessment and subjective scales (Pediatric Sleep Questionnaire, PSQ; the Morningness/Eveningness Questionnaire, MEQ; and The General Behavior Inventory Sleep Subscale, GBISS) to assess circadian preference, and to identify sleep impairment symptoms. Psychopathology was assessed using psychiatric interview. b) ≥ 14 days of actigraphic assessment with advanced methods to assess the chronotype, social jet lag and sleep macrostructure, psychiatric interview and subjective psychometric scales to assess the full psychopathology profile. Results:...
