Based on the comparative literary-philosophical study, this work aims to investigate the necessity of fictionalization in contemporary times and its unfolding about the complex subject of today, from the analysis of the book Uma / Duas (2011), by the writer and journalist Eliane Brum. The researcher starts from the premise that narrative is a sensitive field of knowledge about man and society and, through the proposal of the Epistemology of Romance, it has the mission to promote - within its limited human possibilities - a probable return to the Creative process of the author, intuiting to arrive at the genesis of the work through the aesthetic and epistemological dismantling of the text, above all, legitimizing the ways of the hermeneutic game established between subject-reader and object-romance. The research points to the existence of a Contrast Aesthetic, in Uma / Duas, revealed by the idea of conflict in the text: in a metafictional background, the themes of death / life, sexuality, motherhood and the unequal relationship between men and women seem to lead to conclute that the fictional universe - from modernity - exists to say what has been silenced by a process of denial of human conflict itself. Moreover, in the idyllic pursuit of a social peace within an a priori ethics, in the relations of power, a kind of modeling of the solutions of the problems is imposed, and they take the being to the permanent condition of the aesthetic effect. The word written in the novel, so to speak, would reveal one of the alternatives of fruition - violent - of the subject (reader or writer), literary art being a way to the state of transcendence.

This research is dedicated to establishing a universe of alternative practices to the journalistic processes disseminated by the professional culture, here called Journalism of Unhappenings, from the narrative dynamics of Eliane Brum. It focuses, therefore, on investigating her current course as a columnist in the digital environment, in interface with her initial trajectory as reporter in the press, thus evidencing the aspects that are preserved and those that evolve in her news approach and in the configuration of her writings. The research considers her texts to the portal Época, published in te book A menina quebrada e outras colunas de Eliane Brum (2013), her columns to the portal El País Brazil, delimited between 2014 and 2015, and her experience in the coverage of the World Cup of 2014, to the newspaper Folha de São Paulo, and organizes them according to two discursive expedientes: narration-description and argumentation. Through the method of comprehension, analyzes the manifestation of Brum‟s journalistic agenda in each of these ways, in order to associate the theoretical matrix of Unhappenings with the Complex-Comprehensive Epistemology (KÜNSCH) and to integrate new narrative devices into this proposal. Finally, with the articulations, this project hopes to promote alternative reflections to the traditional newsmaking, under proposals that privilege the movement to the Other and the look to the contexts and demands of those marginalized by the public and media interest. / FAPESP 2015/12073-8 / BEPE FAPESP 2016/13666-5

Square pegs : the political function of ambiguous gender and sexuality in three novels from the Southern Cone

Redmond, Erin Hilda, 1965- 01 October 2012 (has links)
The novels examined in this study -- Manuel Puig’s El beso de la mujer araña (Argentina, 1976), Diamela Eltit’s El cuarto mundo (Chile, 1988), and Hugo Achugar’s Falsas memorias: Blanca Luz Brum (Uruguay, 2000) -- suggest the oppressive character of binary-based identity categories in the contexts of the Southern Cone dictatorships of the 1970s and 1980s and of the neo-liberal regimes that followed them. This study’s queer theoretical perspective draws on performance theory as Sylvia Molloy adapts it in her idea of the pose, which she conceives of as the politically resistant, sustained representation of a culturally unclassifiable identity. Each chapter has a dual focus, involving analyses of political and religious discourses as well as close readings of the ways in which each novel counters the normative ideologies of the discourses that most inform its narrative through representations of forms of gender and sexuality that cannot be categorized in binary terms. The purpose of this study is to contribute a fresh theoretical perspective on El beso de la mujer araña and El cuarto mundo and to fill a gap in criticism through its analysis of the little-studied Falsas memorias: Blanca Luz Brum. The first chapter analyzes Molina, one of the novel’s two protagonists, as a representation of unnamable gender and sexual identities that undermines the ideologies of early Peronism and critiques oppression in the Argentina of the 1970s. Chapter II discusses how Eltit’s novel counters the naturalized gender opposition of political and religious discourses through its characters’ nonnormative identities as it points to the violence of the Pinochet dictatorship and the socio-economic inequities of later neo-liberal regimes. Chapter III analyzes Achugar’s protagonist, the historical figure Blanca Luz Brum, in terms of how she flouts the norms of femininity specific to early twentieth-century discourses in the Southern Cone. The Conclusion addresses the novels’ use of varying strategies to deconstruct normative identity categories, examines the different positions of politically resistant literature in dictatorship and neo-liberal contexts, and analyzes the implications of the texts’ relativism for political, social, and cultural change. / text

Časově proměnná filtrace signálů EKG / Time Varying Filters for ECG Signals

Peterek, Jan January 2013 (has links)
The aim of this master’s thesis is to create a multiband stop derived from Lynn filters for suppressing mains hum and baseline variation (drift). The first part of the thesis is focused on brief theoretical introduction to the distortion types affecting ECG signal and twelve lead connection. The following practical part describes free realizations of ECG filter and ECG signal filtration. The filter has been tested both on distorted and on non-distorted signal. Finally filters’ error rate was computed from CSE database signals.

Rychlé číslicové filtry pro signály EKG / Fast Digital filters for ECG Signals

Ráček, Tomáš January 2011 (has links)
In the thesis there are described the implementations of various types of filters to remove disturbing signals, which often degrade the ECG signal. In particular, it is a zero isoline fluctuations and power network interference. It is used a principle of the Lynn’s linear filters. The individual filters are designed in a recursive and non-recursive implementation. Then there is described a time-varying linear Lynn's filter for removing drift of zero isoline signal. The thesis also includes filters with minimized calculating time of response, by sampling rate conversion method for both interference types. In conclusion there is an experimental study of the filter implementation for ECG signal with false and real interferences.
